I observed few things in my Vista,

First one is Brakes. Yes, the brakes are very sharp.. TATA improved a lot in brakes.. ABS doing its well.

2nd: The Interiors gives classy feel..

3rd: The windows are small.. it is difficult to take reverse.[frustration]

4th: Once we closed all windows we can hear no noise inside the cabin.

5th: Steering controls lights in night time is impressed me a lot..

Totally I'm fully satisfied with my selection..

Still Security system,Tints, Speakers are in pending.. Will install those things soon..

Vista going for Registration by comming week.. Vista is going to get a Fancy number & that number will remeber my black Indica.. U guys confused[confused].. wait with fingers crossed till Vista gets his Number..

Appu why don't you install reverse parking sensors if you find reversing a problem and infact you might get the sensors in white colour too so they might gel with the while rear bumper and remember not to put any tints . In some way yes it's true when people say vista is a underrated car and very good vfm car in India . Music system is good ?

I too thinking the same about Sensors.. but, I'm seeing some of the cars with reverse camera. so, I'm little bit confused with it.. will plan any of those(Camera or Sensors) after installing Speakers.. For Tints I'll wait for some time..

If you ask Vista is Underrated or VFM.. I'll say it is definetely VFM. Because,
*It have acres of space in it.
*Vista having Features like ABS, Centre locking,Tilt steering, Height adjusting driver seat, etc.,
*Powerful Engine with enough mileage.

for a middle class people what extra we need in a hatchback.

I can say why it is underrated. because it is TATA[surprise]..

If the same car was manufactured by Ford or Maruthi.. It would be a massive hit..

Ya.. Music system is good. but, stock speakers are not upto my taste. my dad is fully satisfied with stock speakers.. but I need more effect[evil]

Guys,

Last wednesday I got a chance to test my ABS..

When I'm driving my car from Ratnagiri to Vellore in NH(Chennai-B'lore). I was in right lane & overtake an Alto & In front of me a Tipper lorry, which was on right lane.. I have a enough gap between lorry & me.. behind me an Alto was in left lane. I checked the ORVM & confirm the gap between myself & Alto . I switched ON left indicator & tried to overtake lorry. at that time I was in 80km/hr.

I tried to change the lane,but lorry walla suddenly applied the brake & I checked Alto was still coming. The gap between Lorry & myself has reduced & I'm unable to go to left Lane, then I tried to get bak to right lane. but the Lorry was suddenly halted. I applied the brakes. To my surprise Vista behaved cleverly, Without any skidding Vista Halted exactly where I expected to stop with safe distance. Thanks to ABS. Then Alto passed me. Then I changed to left lane & tried to scold the Lorry wala, he was old guy & he stopped the lorry to speak with other lorry wala, who is in oppsite lane.[frustration].. I tried to scold him, but he was interstingly speaking with Other lorry driver, so I left the place.


Vista Brakes are really more powerful..

The instrument cluster looks very nice.. I don't know backlits can placed on the steering controls..

Does the passenger side power window switches have backlit ?

Good to see another happy Vista customer, if this car came from certain S or H badge it's sales number would have been pointing toward's north.

Guys here is the update,

Last wednesday Vista got registered & we tried to get a fancy number, As my Black Indica was "7222", we thought to get "2777" for Vista. but the RTO Increased the price of Fancy numbers from Rs.8K to Rs.16K.So, we let the number to come by its own. But, to our Surprise Vista got fancy number, yes that is "3222" & this number will remember my Black indica as well[:D]

On the same day, we went to Melmaruvathur for a marriage. we travelled via Arcot, Cheyyar, Vandavasi. The roads are not good, but moderate. At some stretches the road contains full of holes and pathes. Vista absorbed all the holes and Pathes very well. I maintained 90-100km/hr on those country roads. Vista's suspentions is really Fantastic and it gave excellent comfort even in bad roads.

While return from Marriage on Thursday in the same route, I tried to test the performance on those bad roads. Vista performed very well on those roads, I can easily maintain 100km/hr & Vista ate those pathes like a cake,When I'm driving from Arcot to Vellore I maintained 110km/hr. I reduced my speed at some junctions & again I tried to increase the speed, speedo meter was increasing like Tachometer:stupid:. Awesome accelaration. Suddenly, My dad asked me to go slow, then I checked Speedo meter.. oh god. I'm about to touch 130km/hr.then I reduced the speed to 100km/hr. Even at 130km/hr,Vista not gave any vibration or Noise. Vista gave such a confidence to maintain High speeds. Vista Breaks are really very Accurate & sharp.

After completing the whole trip I checked Tank to Tank mileage checkup. Total kms covered 450km. Vista drunk 17litres of Diesel. so the mileage calculted was 14.7km/ltr with full time A/C ON.

Then I called to Vijay salesCorp. and informed about the low mileage.They ask to come with car to check the mileage by connecting Laptop and Tank to Tank checkup.

May be due to aggressive driving Vista gave 14.7km/ltr.. anyhow I'm going to check with Vijaysales by coming Tuesday and let you guys to know.


Till now Vista Completed 2700km ..

Tata's really know a thing or two about suspension set up,

Don't worry about the mileage let the engine settle down, then you can expect better efficiency.

How much KM the QJD engine will take to settle down & from when I can get the proper mileage?
