Yes, Appu, Who ever are visiting Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa will take care of them, but after you do some good driving too, then he will be impressed and save from unexpected things [:)]

. The reason I said this because, I drove in lot of ghats like Goa,Araku, Dalhousie,Shimla and every time I had to be alert enough with some worst climate situations and due to the opposite traffic conditions [:)]

Third Service Update:

Whitey Completed 10,000Km last week, So decided to leave her for her 3rd service on Saturday, but due to some work we left her for service on Monday.

As I went to Chennai on Monday, I asked my Dad to leave Whitey for 3rd service.

He reached Vijay Sales Corporation around 11:00Am & called to my mobile, I spoke with the Service Engineer (Hemakumar) & I asked him that what are the things they will do in Third service.

He replied the below things
1. Full water wash with Vacuum.
2. Oil & Oil filer change.
3. Air filter cleaning.
4. Coolent, Break oil & Wiper water top-up.
5. Wheel rotation & Alignment and general checkup.

then, I asked which oil they will use, SE replied that they will use HP15W40 Mineral Oil.

I asked him to use Synthetic oil, He replied "Synthetic Oil is really good to use, but for synthetic oil we need to change after 15,000 - 20,000 Kms only, Even Manza also had a service interval for every 20,000 Kms previously. but, to check the other oils and checkups TATA changed its service interval to every 10,000Kms. And, there is a difference cost also. If you maintain your service Interval correctly there is no need to go for Synthetic oil" like that he said, So I decided to go for Mineral Oil this time & told the same to him.

Then, I told him that I'm not getting proper mileage & asked him to do check the wires & Belt. SE noted my points & my Dad left from the Vijay sales.

Due to Diwali, I started from my office little early (2:30Pm) to go to Vellore in my bike. When I was near to Vellore SE called to my mobile around 4:00Pm & said that Whitey was ready for Delivery. I told him that I was on the way.

I directly went to Vijay Sales Corporation & asked my Dad to come directly to Vijay sales. When I reached Vijay Sales Dad was on the way. Meanwhile I met the SE & asked about the things done on the car & I inspected the car, it was well cleaned & looks fresh. Then the SE gave the bill & explained the things they done. SE is really helpful & has good knowledge in about the things they done. later I informed him that I'm a member of TheAutomotiveIndia & our Vista review is also present in the website. He said that he know about the TAI. I felt proud at that time :)

Here is the Bill:

I asked SE, for Mileage what they done, He said that the there was the Error on the ECU so they checked that one & cleared the error & he assured that the car will give 15+ in city & 19+ in Highways. And he said Vista is heavier then Swift so the Mileage will be little bit less then swift.

I'm fully satisfied with his explanation & details. Meanwhile my Dad reached Vijay Sales & paid the amount [:D]

. Then I asked SE about the storm [evil]

. SE said that Strom is really a wonderful machine & it is far better than current Safari in all terms & he said TATA has planned to launch in South India after 15days of its Launch in North. But, there was the delay, but we can expect the Strom in this year itself.

The service cost looks very reasonable, but have few questions

1.What is that Oil treatment in the list ??

2. Do they charge for cotton waste used [surprise]

@Appu. Car looks really good and well maintained. Just a question. What are the service intervals for Vista? at 10000 KM 3rd service thats very soon. For FIAT it is 30,000 KM for 3rd free service. [surprise]

Hmm

That additive thing to add in diesel was new to me as Maruti people never did something like that.

Oh it was surprising to me really that they charge for cotton waste and similar things like that. cotton waste is something which is not a consumable which is part of the service and labor where labor should be zero for free services.

Yes, even Ritz diesel service intervel are similar
1st free service : 1000km
2nd free service : 5000km
3rd free service : 10000km
after that every 10000km. Maruti use mineral oils and they say mineral oils are good than synthetic ones for the life of engine [confused]

Dharmesh, how are the service interval for Punto, is it every 15000km ??

Then every 15000 KM, I think. Though I am personally convinced that it should not be that long. should be every 10000KM.

SE said the synthetic oil gives more smooth than Mineral oil. but, if you want to do regular maintainence for evey 10,000Kms with Synthetic oil. It will be little bit expensive than mineral oil. So I decided to try Synthetic for next service [;)]

As like I said Synthetic oil lifetime will long lasts upto 20K. But, 20K is too much long for a car without other checkups, so Fiat asking you to do service for 15K. But TATA asking Manza to do service for 10K, eventhough there is still 10K remaining in oil life.
