got a call from SRT tata that diesel cars made after aug16 have no air filter recall from TATA motors, its applicable to those made on or before this period.it seems they are informing only those whose chasis numbers are selected by he company & message passed on to the respective dealers.

So i guess i will keep on adding things to this thread.
This happened to me also within 7 days of purchase. Got it fixed during 1st service.

BTW do you guys feel the ride inside the city bumpy? I'm maintaining the recommended pressure. The pressure is cross checked by me with both pressure gauge and the TPMS.

I am facing this issue.
Haven't unlocked the car using it.
@AHC,
This is a common niggle with Tiago, I would also expect your cabin lamp switch to act crazy very soon. As Gautam said, avoid using that knob, it is too ugly to even touch. Pull the driver side chrome lever half way to unlock all doors.

Prabhagar, seeing these I feel I got a better piece as I am yet to run into these issues. Done 2.4K kms. Does pulling chrome lever really unlock the door? Its just for opening the door after its unlocked. Or am I missing something?

Even mine is fine bro, I just gave him some heads up on possible common niggles [:D]. I do have occasional loose contacts and light would be a bit dim, just touching the switch would solve it. Some owners' switch went kaput completely or was flickering, they were replaced under warranty.
And yes, slightly pulling the chrome lever unlocks all doors without opening driver door.

Nope, I did not notice it to be bumpy except when on very bad roads (or no roads).

Mods, pls add MultiQuote option on the mobile site as well.
@Archat, will try again and see if only the chrome lever opens the door tomorrow and update. I don't feel the ride bumpy except few times. I fill 33 front 30 back Nitrogen once every 2-3 weeks. During cold starts at times it feels bumpy. You can try filling a bit less and see if its still bumpy. I suspect its the jerky AMT tech in your case which is the culprit.

I never face it, and i find low speed ride of Tiago to be better than my Rapid.

I maintain following pressure:
Front - 33 psi
Rear - 30 psi

Though I will request TASS to replace my suspensions (all 4) under warranty as it again and again requires greasing and torquing.

Touchwood I have not faced any such issues so far having covered 5200kms. I am maintaining front tyre pressure at 36 & back at 30 as recommended on the car sticker on the driver side door.Despite not using AC after current fill the mileage figure are not climbing up from 20.25(tankful method) & 23.9 as per mid.
My car has suffered a lot of scratches & paint quality is poor, very thin coat.

HI Guys,
I own Tata Tiago(petrol XZ) and drive 2900 KM for last 3 month. I facing some issues while driving.
Pick up is too bad with car. Even on small hill like area pick up is too worst.
While start the engine the whole car jerk little bit.
In City while driving in 1st, 2nd gear mileage too worst to around 10KM.
Could you please suggest what will be exact issue with Pick up and mileage.

It is always a good idea to get it check at TASS.

Apart from that, I would recommend you to press throttle a bit before releasing clutch pedal to avoid jerking.

I have recently got a Tiago Automatic version ( 1 week, 224 kms old) and the display shows an economy of 8 - 8.8 kmpl. I just filled the tank and it shows distance to empty as 494 km. Considering tank capacity as 35 litres to be accurate, the average should be around 14.11 kmpl. There are now 2 issues :

1) This average is less than the rated average of the car ( which is acceptable) but also less than the average that most of other Tiago owners are getting in real world conditions.
2) Why is the display still showing 8/9 kmpl as opposed to 14 kmpl? Is it an issue of configuring the display? Or there is some other issue? Or may be I have constantly used it on the 1st/2nd gears and hence the average is low?

Anyone else facing this issue? Help/answers/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks guys!

^^ Try two full tank methods and manually keep a track on the mileage of how many per kmpl has been given, if you're getting the same then you have to raise it to the service centre, this maybe tuning or some ECU related stuff.
