Tata Tiago: Technical Issues & Solutions

Hi ,

I am using tata tiago for past 1 year. I am having repeated issue in my vehicle:

1) Reverse gear struck up .
2) Clutch cable issue causing gear noise
3) Steering rattle noise
4) Harman system hangs for sometime while bluetooth call not connecting

Is there any solution given by dealer? kindly suggest

Day after tomorrow I'm going to service my vehicle.

Dear Logesh,
Raise these issues at the time of giving the vehicle for service.All can be solved if dealer wants to solve them.Else raise this issue with TATA regional office also try another service centre.Harman system get updated to 1.7 version & also delete & reinstall the connect next app on your phone.

Today morning when I started the car after few days, there were some engine misfiring and engine check warning was on. Then I restarted the car and there was no engine misfiring or engine check warning glow. Then I drove for around 25kms and there was no issue at all. Hope I can ignore that warning? My car has almost no rattling nowadays and am satisfied. Only the 2-3sec power loss at times is the only con. Hope Tata comes with some solution then I would be very happy.

There is recall for air-filter for Diesel Tiago atleast.

no info from SRT coimbatore so far on any recall.attitude is to avoid any service till car is broken down.shows the confidence levels at dealer level.
just imagine what happens with bolt customers......

Here in Mumbai too . The service centre where I visit frequently didn't bothered to call me, later called them and spoke with the SA, he said there is no recall. That day itself I called CRM (of same service centre) and he confirmed that there is recall.

Tata should make these so-called recalls public so that dealers do not take it for granted.

I am just on hold of decision buying Tiago XT. Had been reading many technical issues on this platform & other review sites also. Mainly:
1. Reverse gear stucking (Major problem in long term)
2. Sudden loss of power. Specially in bumper to bumper traffic stopping & moving.
3. Frequent Harman music system getting offline Or require reset.
4. Rattling issues
5. Many other niggles commonly mentioned.

Should I go ahead inspite of these. Won't it be a day to day running A.S.S.

Please advise

Depends on your budget to be honest.

If you have tight budget, then go with Tiago (XZ variant preferred, or else settle for any optional variant), but if you can go with Grand i10 Asta(O) then its better.

Thnx for kind advise. However as compared to Tiago , Grand i 10 Asta & Swift dezire both are way beyond in price.

Every car has its own niggles. I personally have power loss for 2-3secs at times as the only con with my Tiago and would definitely suggest to go ahead. If you can get XZ w/o alloy wheels it would be a terrific deal as its very sensibly priced and gets all the security features as well as bells and whistles.

There is a recall due to change in design.
