We have got a new Tiago AMT last month which has now done 350 kms city mode but after 200 kms we noticed screeching sounds while shifting gears(reverse to drive, vice versa), is this normal? I am not sure if this is normal with amt or there is some technical issue with the gear mechanism
We did ask the service center to check the sound who said it is normal but I am not sure?
Does anyone drives amt in this group? Can anyone confirm if this normal with Tiago AMT?
We own a Tiago AMT, i never heard any such bad sound while shifting gears, can hear some clicks which i guess is normal. I hope you are shifting gears when car is stationary and brake pressed.

Hey Tej, Last part in practice but the clicking sound is quiet prominent(sounds like a 303 lever being pulled and released) I will try and check some other AMT cars and other Tiago AMT's to see if this is normal or not

I have recently got a Tiago Automatic version ( 1 week, 224 kms old) and the display shows an economy of 8 - 8.8 kmpl. I just filled the tank and it shows distance to empty as 494 km. Considering tank capacity as 35 litres to be accurate, the average should be around 14.11 kmpl. There are now 2 issues :

1) This average is less than the rated average of the car ( which is acceptable) but also less than the average that most of other Tiago owners are getting in real world conditions.
2) Why is the display still showing 8/9 kmpl as opposed to 14 kmpl? Is it an issue of configuring the display? Or there is some other issue? Or may be I have constantly used it on the 1st/2nd gears and hence the average is low?

Anyone else facing this issue? Help/answers/advise would be appreciated.

Thanks guys!
Reset the trip meter at least once. Cars in dealerships idle a lot and that drags the average FE down. Reset the trip once and you will see what you are actually getting.

Hello Tiago Owners,
I'm Planning to buy Tiago Revotorq XZ for my daily use. My monthly car usage would be around 1500 - 2000 kms. I would like to know what all CONS present in this vehicle as of now? I have decided to buy Tiago only, I just have to prepare myself for the Cons.

Hi Guys,

Just bought a Tata Tiago XZ devotion yesterday. However, just after 1 day the music system stopped working. Called my sales contact in Tata and he told me to detach the battery wire and then reattach it again to reset the car computer system. Now again it has stopped working.

Kindly help, it's just the second day and this is really disheartening.

Fuse issue or software issue. One of my friend's brother had faced similar issue, updating Harman head unit software to R1.8 solved the issue.

This is the lastest Harman software version for Tiago. No info on any visible changes yet, I may get to see this car on our owners' meet this Saturday.

Hey guys,
I have Tiago XZ petrol variant. Odo reading is 13K+.
From past few weeks I have noticed that gear is getting strucked while I put reverse gear and I have to do bit d-clutch action to get it engaged. I have asked in TASS while doing service and they told that they have adjusted the clutch, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Is there any suggestion to avoid cold start jerks?
Ive noticed this on TD car also
Even after cross checking fully depressing clutch , couldnt reproduce the problem in the TD car
Also this happened in 1st gear in that car too

Have same issue. TASS do their job and it is good for a week's time and then back comes the problem.

Don't know when will I say my Tiago is niggle-free :lol!:, man it requires to be dropped in service centre after every 2 weeks which is pain.

The Problem is we don't press the clutch fully, if the same is done with complete attention the problem won't arise, it used to happen in My Enjoy, Versa, where I found the issue is with us, when we look back, our body reflexes become little weak in the foot.

I have removed the floor mat from driver side in my car & the clutch is now comfortable in city use.gear slotting is issue whenever i am in a hurry or tensed (due to traffic/kids who want to take all controls in their hands/phone call).

My car suffered 3 punctures yesterday one after another in a span of 7 hours in city.first a big screw then broken glass & then a small nail. Now i can change tires quickly henceforth.[;)][;)]

@AHC, I am not able to follow the accelerating noise you are referring to. May be it's not distinctively noticeable in the recording. Please visit TASC and check other cars over there.

I am doing my 3rd Service. So should I do wheel alignment and balancing herebor tyre shop? Here they are asking 500rs. Also my car has done around 4650kms. Shall I go for wheel rotation now or later?
