This guy got his air filter assembly changed recently and the new one has screws to secure that part in place.

The car hit a stone at high speed , the bumper came out and the tyre was hitting the inside guard. Tata provided good bumper locks just like Ford. Maruti and Hyundai has pathetic locks quality. Took it to the same bumper guy and paid 300rs.
The problem.
This metal plate got pushed inside.

Got the air filter assembly changed under warranty. The service guys knew the issue. Paid 5rs for the zip tie. Reduced the vibration but it's not completely gone.
Also the malwa Tata service center located at jahangirpuri is not up to the mark of a tier-1 city. The roads was really bad at the entrance. The earlier sc closed down for some reason. No other sc near by. Tata should really ask the dealerships to improve the service centre.
@ vishwas - these are useless. Sitting in the car you won't find any difference.

@AHC, why was your air filter assembly changed? Is it specific to certain batches?
You helped me in changing the assembly and now you are asking me why [thinking]
Went to the sc and I complained about the noise. Senior advisor opened the bonnet and observed that the part was moving from its place just like the video I posted in the previous page. He gave the nod to replace the assembly instantly. Got the car in 30 minutes.

Hello fellow TIAGO owners.
Has anyone of you kept the car idle for long duration ?
I had left my car idle for 1 month and then 25 days sometime last year. Everytime when I came back the car failed to start. There was problem with battery losing charge because of idle state.
When I complained to tata motors they said car should be started once a week so that there is no starting problem. When I further probed them, the person replied that water was more than required in battery hence it lost gravity.
But this time, my car was left idle for 9 days only and the problem reoccured. Even the central locking does not work. Is it a defect to my unit or is the bahavior common across.
My friends who own other brands never face such a problem. My neighbour has maruti Omni and alto, but the car starts easily even when kept idle for more than 40 days.
Please help. I have sent mails to concorde motors and tata motors waiting for their reply. But I want expert views of you guys to tackle the responses they give this time. I am a novice driver and this is my first car.

By 'central locking not working' perhaps you mean 'remote locking not working?' If so, going by reports in other forums, remote lock doesn't work if Tiago is left idle for more than 2 days. It apparently goes into hibernation mode. You need to open the door manually and start the car. The car comes out of hibernation mode after you start it.
Only some have reported car not starting after few days of lying idle - this definitely need to be looked into by the TATA ASS .

Your car's remote key goes into 'sleep' mode to save battery when not used for 7 consecutive days. Use the key to open it once and then it will be normal after the first start up.
However, battery draining is a different issue and needs to be addressed by TML. Please raise a complaint in TMSC app for better tracking. It's either your battery or a problem in your electrical system that drains battery.
EDIT: I should have read carcommentor's reply fully before jumping in. He said the same thing as me but the #days is 7 instead of 2.

TATA motors recalled some batches of tiagos for roof light replacement to address the battery drain issue. Please contact TASS and check whether your car is in the recalled batch.
I am facing Bluetooth connection issue in my XZA. Audio gets distorted after some 10min of playing from phone. Complained during 1st service. Service center guys said all good. But the issue is still there. Anybody facing similar issue?

Hi,
Does anyone know the DIY process of doing the Tata Tiago HU Software Update?
I read somewhere several months back that a particular exe or msi file on a pendrive can do the job.
Can somebody please share his gyaan over this?
