This is not grease. I tried to remove but not. I informed this to SA, they told its not a problem.
What I guess is, at the ASC level they have cleverly replaced the engine cover of an old Tiago with a new one (your's). Ethically, a new car should not have any tampered equipment. You should inform the service team / head at showroom. This may cause issues later.

Post these pics on Tiago FB page & seek response from TATA. Check Other vehicles in dealer yard/service station. Verify & if fishy then lodge a complaint.

New car is a new car. Unless you have opted for a test drive car. People do go for such cars, but they pay a lot less for such cars.

If it is a new car, you simply should not accept this car. Ask for them to changethe car. As the SA it may not have any issues but since you have paid for a new car, you should get one.

do not accept this car.

Hello everyone. Today morning, on my way to the College, I spotted a TATA Tiago with camouflage covering it except for the headlamps and taillamps. It had Coimbatore plates and must be from Jayam Automotives. Is TATA testing something new? With the AMT launched, what could TATA be testing.

P.S. I was driving and so couldn't take any pictures.

As per recent tweet by TMETC (Tata Motors European Technical Centre), I personally feel it might be Tiago Electric.

Completed 50 days today since booking Tiago XZA. No sight of car so far. They billed the car at factory on 12th July but still not reached dealership. More than 50 days for car delivery is pathetic when you are just selling on an average 5K cars a month[frustration]. Tata needs to learn a lot from Maruti and Hyundai

Maybe GST mess up is the main reason, follow up with the Sales guy, but do inquire the same with other dealers as well, dealers play all kind of tactics to its customers for no reason

Took delivery of Tiago XZA today.
Drove it for 150kms.
Initial impressions
- good build quality
- very modern interiors.
- superb ride quality. As i can easily see difference on same roads when compared to swift and my old Indica.
- I found engine to be quiet refined as against general opinions. Hardly one can hear engine sound even with music system off. One think though, I dint go beyond 65kms/hour.
- absolutely ZERO vibrations.
- Got 13 km/litre for 150kms. I think quiet good for day one.
- I have to go through some ghat sections along my away to my home and auto gear shifting worked like charm. No confused shifting at all.
- I found city mode drivable but liked sports mode. It is bit more fun to drive.
- lastly as everyone already knows the quality of music system is just awesome. One has to listen it to believe such quality at this price. Just LOVE it.
I will try to post detailed review soon

Congrats Tej. Recently I saw a good review of XZA and it was noted that Tiago AMT has better NVH and refinement compared to MT. Most of the Tiago AMT owners are saying the same. Probably Tata has done some improvements which is appreciable. Will Miss the sports mode in manual version.
Recently I sat in the rear seats of my Tiago and I felt the suspension feels even better at the rear and the ride quality for rear passengers is simply amazing.

Have read few reviews claiming back seat is good for 2only. Given this is based on indica platform, and has same dimensions on paper, shouldn't space be same inside? Indica had good space to seat 3.

Read similar about Tigor also, given its based on indigo platform, shouldn't it also seat 3 passengers similar to indigo?

Can someone please confirm.

Thanks

Tiago back seat is good for 2 well built adults & one child OR 3 thin adults. Tigor backseat is good for 3 adults. Tigor has more legroom at rear than Tiago.
