Hi
I am proud owner of the TATA Tiago Petrol XZ. I have purchased the car on 2 May and completed around 1900 KM, I feel very happy to be apart if this group.
Can anyone please help me to get the good seat cover for my Tiago?

I was very much interested in Tata Tiago XZ Diesel but the design flaw as discussed in the post #1928 at the link below has changed my mind & made me to rethink my decision.qhttp://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/indian-auto-sector/11557-tatas-new-hatchback-zica-now-renamed-tiago-129.html#post502212

What could be the alternative option ?
To remove front Passenger Airbag or uncouple the wiring harness of it after buying the car or somebody should throw some light on this matter.
I'm not much interested in buying Non-Airbag version or version lacking Crucial safety equipment.
Hi
In my opinion I don't consider it as a design flaw. In the event of an accident windshield damage is negligible compared to passenger safety, it shows airbag is big enough to save the passanger. Also it is not even sure that the damage happened is because of the airbag impact.

Considering rarest of rare case of an accident which would enable airbag and damage windshield, you could ignore such a small impact compared to the human safety.

Good luck for your new car purchase, may you get the best car possible within the available budget.

You need not to worry about that design flaw(if that really is one). Air bag deployment is not a day to day scenario. If passenger is wearing a seat belt, no need to bother at all. Over all, Car took the hit well and kept the occupants safe. That's what matters. Also to hitting a broken tempered glass may reduce head injuries.

Where is the impact on the driver is the windshield goes away? Any substantial source to say as the design flaw?

Hi DZEvoque, from the look of it, airbag deployment was fine and would have protected the passengers. The design flaw is about the passenger airbag cover hitting the windscreen. I would not care about this as long as the passenger safety systems are working as intended (airbag is positioned correctly, belt pre-tensioner works and the structure does not compromise passenger survival space). Please don't hold it against buying this car. This car has a good set of brakes, tires, ABS, pair of airbags and CSC(tata should provide a demonstration on its effectiveness).

Purely from safety point of view, I would be more worried about the lack of ESP and child seat support. I am not sure how good CSC is, but ESP is a life saver, especially out on our highways.

Need Suggestion....

Today, I went for the PDI for my tiago petrol XZ which I booked on 1-May. VIN no was something like MAT******GKC*****. I think the car was manufactured in Mar,2016. If this is the case, should I take the delivery for the same car?

Did your dealer give a justifiable reason for not selling a March made car? I would avoid taking this car if I were you.

March made car in June is fine. They are factory despatched as per the order made by dealers.

See how the Windshield glass shatters on Airbag impact on it. Shattering on Forceful impact also leads to flying glass bits, as can be seen in the video shared in the link below, https://youtu.be/xJlcnEQLbQs

This is an unwanted damage which can be avoided by proper designing whether it can pose potential damage to the users or not but a loss to the precious resources can also be avoided.
Rest, a broken windshield can act as a cushion too for passengers is a good alternative approach.

Guys, I am going for PDI today for my Petrol Tiago XZ. I wanted to know if someone can help me with the contact of any outside insurance guys. I can use that to negotiate with showroom guys. Showroom is charging 20k around for insurance.
I read some where on the forum that Royal Sundaram are charging around 16K.

Thanks in advance.

What is the realistic Delivery timeline for Tiago now? I had booked Revotron Xz sometime first week of June and promised within 3 months delivery i.e sometime in August. I am aware that there is Alloy wheel supply shortage which is further pushing up delivery dates. So how much is the Alloy Wheels affecting Delivery timeline?
