Also check IDV for both insurance quote, lower IDV may result in lower premium. Better to go for full IDV for new car.

Tata has come up with such an awesome package with Tiago. But surely they blundered in spacing their variants, atleast in my opinion.
in case they might have done dual airbag as stndrd across all variants and ingroduced ABS in mid variant, what a death blow it would have been this to the likes of Kwid and Alto.
Lets say Tiago coming with three variants, XE-with dual air bag, XM-with ABS, and XZ as in todays avatar.
XE with airbag priced at 4lac, would have easily brush away all the competetion. and at 4.5lac ABS fit XM.. wow simply no mans territory..
Tata surely missed on this.
Currently, both sales figure as well as common perception indicate that Tiago means XZ i.e 5 lac wala car, and thus anybody wanting cheaper option would go for Kwid or Alto. but as I said above if somebody offers a safe car at 4 lac with dual airbag.. then why would one go for tin cans?

You are overestimating the demand for safety features in India. SA told me that out of 400 and odd tiagos non XZ's booked, only 10 have been for the optional models While we think it is natural to go for optional models, response has been poor.

Apparently, we all know the reason for that as well.
Most SA people don't know about the option package itself. Tata also didn't stress on this safety package. They didn't market or produce even one (O) package car I suppose.

well that is not the case. We indian generally have no regards for safety while driving, walking or even purchasing. Saving 18k will enable you to go in for a high end ICE. That is generic mentality.

Has anyone who has driven the diesel in the stop and go traffic felt issues when starting off from an incline or flyover ?

For example: if the car is stuck in traffic on an incline or a flyover, is there a need to give accelerator inputs to make the car moving ?

Most cars with turbo lag need some stick to get moving. How's the driveability in city conditions ?

RIder Bro, you are forgetting the fact that out of 100 Tiagos booked, 75-80 are XZ models, which is brimmed with safety features..

That's only partially true. I wanted to book an XT(O), but the SA is of the opinion that optional variants will take a longer waiting period. Also he is pushing me to go for XZ variant. I may go with XZ now.
The longer waiting period might be a reason why people are not opting for optional variants.

On a different note, does anybody have any experience with Concorde motors opp. to Prestige Tech park, Outer ring road, Marathahalli, Bangalore? I'm staying near Whitefield and the show room nearest to me is KHT Motors. But Concorde offered me a long TD at home.

Hi I would suggest you to buy your car from KHTmotors. I have very good experience with them their service manager Mr Ramesh is very knowledgeable and friendly guy my Safari had some kind of vibration near the engine bay I spent a lot of money and went to almost 10 showrooms in South India. Then one of my friend asked me to visit Cage to motors and make Mr Ramesh when I showed him my car he just asked me to start the car with the noise itself he told the engine Bush is gone we need to replace that and it costed around Rs.800 only and my safari became smooth.

I have been using Tata Tiago XZ (petrol) Since May 4 2016,Purchased from Auto matrix Mangalore.
At start there were some issues with the car,As the car was manufactured in month of Feb 16.

Issue listed below

1. 1. NVH
   2. Gear Vibration and rattling
   3. Glove Box Left upper part has a quite bit of gap in it,Still under rectification.And I have seen many car having this issue
   4. Top Black Strip issue on left side,Looking like uneven fit
   5. Refuel message was coming even when there is 8+ lts or petrol.
   6. Low mileage around (12-14 Kmpl)
   7. Pulling was very less.
   Too much isn't it
   
   But after constant interaction with Tata Motors,All the issues were nullified,And now the car is really Fantastico
   
   Now its returning a mileage of around 18Kmpl on a bit busy highway and village curvy road,With A/C on sometimes.

   1. Did any one try the original DRL provided by Tata Motors for Tiago ?As I am looking for one.As mine is XZ variant it already has a Fog Lamp with chrome finish.I just want a LED DRL without fog Lamp. So did any one install LED DRL?If so please post a video / image here with light on and off state.Just wanted to see the look' s of it.
   2. Did any one try Original Seat covers for Tiago?Hows the quality are they durable or should I buy it outside ?
   3. Did any one cross 110 Kmph mark?
   4. Did any one install Roof Railing?Please share pics

1.My trip meter shows 950 Kms and Still I haven't done my first service.As soon as I raised issue on Social Media I used to get a call and TML executive themselves came to my house take car and drop it back after repair.Its all free...
2.They replace a synchronize mechanism in gear box.And after that gear box is butter smooth and Mileage also got improved.
3.At first gear the pulling was less and I never got an opportunity to travel above 4th gear.Almost i used to stay in 3rd gear.Sorry I don't remember the RPM
4.12-14 Kmpl was random drive,Mostly on curvy state highways and city B2B road with or without A/C.
