Tata has come up with such an awesome package with Tiago. But surely they blundered in spacing their variants, atleast in my opinion.
in case they might have done dual airbag as stndrd across all variants and ingroduced ABS in mid variant, what a death blow it would have been this to the likes of Kwid and Alto.
Lets say Tiago coming with three variants, XE-with dual air bag, XM-with ABS, and XZ as in todays avatar.
XE with airbag priced at 4lac, would have easily brush away all the competetion. and at 4.5lac ABS fit XM.. wow simply no mans territory..
Tata surely missed on this.
Currently, both sales figure as well as common perception indicate that Tiago means XZ i.e 5 lac wala car, and thus anybody wanting cheaper option would go for Kwid or Alto. but as I said above if somebody offers a safe car at 4 lac with dual airbag.. then why would one go for tin cans?
