Hi All! Amazing discussions on this thread!
I recently bought a Tiago and completed almost 400 kms of driving. The problem I am facing is that the gear gets stuck when I shift from 2nd gear to first gear. Are the gears not synchronized? Or do I have to first go to neutral and then shift to first gear?

Make sure you shift from 2nd to 1st not too early (when vehicle is in higher speed) and ensure you press clutch fully. Even if problem is there then you must take car to service centre without further delay.

Thank you modifii for your reply! It seems that I was shifting to first gear way before slowing down and riding on clutch. Got my mistake.
Also can anyone enlighten me whether I should put a Teflon coating to my Tiago or not? Bcoz my dealer advised me to put Teflon coating and anti rust coating. But I have read that Teflon coating was discontinued by the company Dupont in India and all the dealers just apply wax coating in the name of teflon and cheat us. Has anybody done the teflon coating in their Tiago?

I would suggest underbody antirust coat, on painted body I don't have much experience as I was never interested in such things.

Any body know tata tiago stock speaker RMS
Achu97,
If you haven't got the answer, here it is:
Credits to Sanmeet from Atom Club for sharing these with us [clap].

Speakers are 30W RMS:

Tweeters are 20W RMS:

Could this design be the reason for boosted bass in Tiago?

Another pic showing the fitment:
IMG-20170302-WA0039.jpg

Is this damping of some sort?
IMG-20170302-WA0025.jpg

Notice the side impact bar inside door panel:

Summing up the numbers, total power rating of Tiago's amplifier would be (30+20)*4 = 200 Watts RMS approx [:D].

New Delhi, March 6, 2017: After the overwhelming success of TIAGO in the passenger vehicle market, Tata Motors has quickly come back with a new variant of the Tata Tiago, to offer its customers a pleasurable drive experience. The Company today announced the launch of the TIAGO Easy-Shift AMT. Priced at INR 5.73 lakhs, ex-showroom Mumbai and INR 5.39 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, the TIAGO AMT will be available in the XZA variant with the 1.2L 3 cylinder Revotron petrol engine. The car will be on sale across the country in over 597 Tata Motors sales outlets, from today.

Reflecting the company’s passion and commitment to bring stylish, exciting and technology driven cars in the market, the car comes equipped with the latest technological advancements and features that redefine the segment. It strengthens the brand’s value proposition making it a true game-changer in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

According to Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “Since its launch in 2016, the TIAGO - our first product to be launched under the IMPACT design language; stood out as an attractive, innovative and feature loaded car. It is the most awarded car of the year with over 13 awards and counting. Besides, due to the continued good response to the TIAGO, we are witnessing a month-on-month growth in the immensely competitive hatchback segment. The TIAGO has been instrumental in the growth of Tata Motors’ brand across the PV market. In line with our commitment of launching products that cater to the need of the ever-evolving customer, we are happy to launch the TIAGO AMT today. We are confident that it will further expand the market for us.”

The TIAGO Easy Shift AMT comes equipped with four gear positions – Automatic, Neutral, Reverse and Manual for smooth and regular acceleration to offer for a comfortable and stress-free driving experience. In addition, it boasts of 2 drive modes– Sports & City, for a peppy driving experience and city cruising. While the first-in-class sports mode is for performance oriented drivers, the City mode helps zip through traffic with complete ease. The Manual mode helps shift gears at a flick of a gear stick for an engaging experience.

For ease of manoeuvrability in heavy traffic conditions and during parking, TIAGO Easy Shift AMT comes with an in-built ‘creep’ feature, which enables the car to crawl as soon as the pressure is eased off the brake pedal, without pressing the accelerator. This function also prevents the car from rolling back when it starts from an inclined position.

2017 Tata Tiago AMT launched at Rs 5.39 lakh

After months of testing, Tata has finally launched the Tiago AMT in our market. A rival to the Maruti Celerio, the Tiago AMT comes only in a top-spec XZA trim. Prices for the Tiago AMT start at Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Tiago AMT comes with the same 1.2-litre petrol motor good for 85hp and 114Nm of torque. There is no diesel-powered model on offer. The Tiago's AMT gearbox is a five-speed unit which also offers Sport mode and ‘creep’ function. It also offers a City mode which is similar to its manual gearbox-equipped counterpart. Like most other AMT gearbox cars sold in India, drivers will also be able to change gears manually if required.

Amongst its rivals, the Maruti Celerio (Rs 4.51-5.25 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi) comes with the option of an AMT transmission. Tata will also launch the Tiago AMT in a lower trim level in the near future. The Tiago is the third Tata model to be offered with an AMT gearbox after the Nano and the Zest.

The carmaker is also preparing to launch its all-new Tiago-based compact sedan, the Tigor, soon. The Tigor will share its mechanicals with the Tiago and, thus, could also receive the AMT gearbox option.

Tata Tiago AMT prices:
• Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
• Rs 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai)

Great. Tata is fair with its offers. One of the members in our Tiago group was among the first few customers of Tiago and was selected in a lucky draw. He was sent for a trip to Barcelona where he met Messi. Was interesting to see his pic with Messi.
