Mine is diesel XZ variant.

Issues with glove box without cooling compartment & mileage.

In city mostly 2nd gear is used--40kmph.

Planning a trip to banglore Next Week.what all care should I take.(top speed, etc).

Sir, how much km has your Tiago run?

If its less than 2,500km then don't get worried for FE, and keep speed below 80 kmph and rpm less than 2,500.

I too own XZ diesel, getting 22+ kmpl in city in city mode with ac !!

After a very long wait and booking higher segment cars, I finally bought Tiago yesterday. I always loved this car. The buying experience was nice as of now. I got it delivered in just 5 days flat, 5 days earlier than actual committed date. The staff at dealership were so good that they called me and asked me to check car personally before billing. [clap]

Mine is white Tiago XZ Petrol with alloy wheels. I find build quality very good, doors close with solid very confidence inspiring sound. Neat engine bay, proper cabling and top quality parts installed. The car actually look and feel like a European. About engine sound, I find VW petrol engine on Polo/Ameo even worse than this. This one is little nosier but not much, normal like other 3 pot engines. It is too early to comment further but I am hoping that this will be a great car.

All my friends and colleagues are loving the ICE, they just don't want to come out of car. [:)] Many of them are not believing that this is a Tata car. Everyone loved the space and build quality. And many of them find car a great value for money offering.

I want to point out one thing here, so many people have said that gear lever vibrates on idle. Well that's not true, see the attached video and decide yourself. No vibration in Tiago gear lever

Congrats modifii and wish you millions of happy miles on your Tiago [:)]. My car is close to 9 months and even today there are people checking it out in my office parking.
As for the gear rod video, can you please also share a short clip with the first gear engaged? Mine is still in neutral but sometimes vibrates once a gear is engaged. Just wanted to know how it is in latest batches.

My Car has run around 300kms in last 3 days.Tirupur-coimbatore highway run is giving 18kmpl & city is 16kmpl with AC(as per MID).Glove box issue solved. The executive at SRT tata is [frustration][frustration].My 2.5 year old kid knows better [:D](he showed the executive how to engage rear viper during delivery, something which he failed to explain).Visiting them tomorrow morning to collect registration papers.
Comming from Mahindra Logan petrol this car is ticking all the boxes for me & family.

Sir I would say wait for your Tiago run-in period to get over and then look for FE.
Most SA are not qualified enough. Ask them if they know there are three elephants embossed in glovebox.

I will soon make a video of it but I checked putting it in first gear but did not feel any vibration at all. Not even a hint of vibration when I keep my hand over lever. Note that during this check I did not release clutch, kept it pressed fully.

Thanks for running this test [thumbsup]. I am glad there are no vibes/rattles with the gear engaged. When possible, I will upload a video of mine for reference.

What a coincidence, I too recorded a video just now [:)]. Looking at yours, it is clear that they have corrected this issue in recent batches. I hope TML comes up with some workaround for early adopters too.
The vibration in your car is much lower than the demo petrol car available here at local Tata showroom, which is a year old first batch car. I asked sales guy to do something as it will leave bad first impression in prospective customer.

Open your car's engine bay and let me know whether the area pointed by red arrow in attached picture matches with your car or not.

No wonder, I am eager to see my dealership's TD car too.
