There was no need for that reaction.

He thought something was wrong , went to the service station they didn't know. So obviously this becomes a problem for him.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestion...

Just to clarify you , I have showed car in the TATA authorized service center , the person who checked has more than 15 years experience in service industry and also he spent 10 years with TATA. But they are not able to say what is that hissing sound, where its coming and is it normal....

Tiago has crossed 40000 bookings since launch. That is not only a great number as per Tata standards but also a respectable number in automotive industry.

So till now close to 17K Taigo have found thier homes in India. backlog for 23K remain which means we can expect a healthy figure of 5K plus for the coming 3-4 months atleast. We will then have Tiago AMT and Hope fully Tiago Acktiv to bump up the number further.

If you hear the hiss throughout your drive, then it definitely is a problem. I would urge you to raise a complaint in TMSC app so it is officially recorded and tracked by TML Service folks. Your SA will be able to get help from higher up's with this complaint. BTW, you have not replied to my request for an audio/video recording of your sound.

It is not a problem at all. I too had these doubts when I first started driving my Ertiga in 2012. Also have seen this hissing sound in all modern cars. It is something very normal.
Prabha ji, the sound will also usually come while running also. You might not have noticed it.
@CHKA05 sir, true, the service guy may have more experience, but he might not be familiar with modern cars. All cars I have driven from Celerio to XUV have this hissing. It is not an issue.
If you dont believe me, you can ask any other experts on this forum.

HI All,

Happy to share that I have booked my first car " Tata Tiago" - XM petrol at concorde Motors, Pune. On road Price comes around 4,62,159 and I m getting Leather seat covers + mud pads + Mud sheets + Outer body coating + Body colour OVRMs for 10,000 INR. I was told 8 weeks waiting period. My expectation is if i can get duirng Diwali time frame I will be happy. Fingers crossed

Congrats on your booking dude. I would recommend noodle mats over rubber mud sheets from dealerships. Also not sure what outer body coating they are going to do, please get it clarified. It could be under body anti-rust coating. Also make sure you get to see the fit and finish of leather seat covers before buying.

Today, I happened to see an orange Tiago on road,beautiful! is the word for it.It looks more beautiful in flesh.I do not agree with people who says it gets mixed up in the crowd ,as it had a unique stance from side and even from front and rear it is quite different from grand i10 and figo.

Hormazd Sorabjee has discussed about a Tiago Sport on Autocar in its scoop section. He said Tata is mulling a sport variant of Tiago, slapping a turbocharger on its current 3 cyl petrol engine producing in excess of 105 bhp. They have apparently shelved Bolt Sport plan due to poor demand.

Tata Tiago Sport

The Tiago Sport won’t get the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder Revotron from the Bolt, but will instead use a turbocharged version of the current 1.2, three-cylinder motor, which is primarily being developed for the upcoming Nexon compact SUV.
It’s likely that Tata Motors may bump up the Tiago Sport to beyond 120hp by using a bigger turbo and changes to the electronics, to make it a credible rival to the other hot hatches like the Punto Abarth and upcoming Baleno RS.
Apart from a more powerful engine, the Tiago Sport is expected to come with a lowered suspension, stiffer damping and an aggressive looking body kit to distinguish it from the regular Tiago.
