I am one of the Proud owner of TATA Tiago. My opinion on this car and my variant is Revetorque XZ
Exterior: The car looks very different from other TATAs. Front grill looks fresh and new...
Interior & Comfort: I personally like the seat cushion, seat finish, leg room space, height adjustable driver seat. The music console is very good and great clarity with enough bass punch, I really like it. With the steering mounted controls skipping from one source to another source is simple, just on a single click.
No problem seating 3 adults on the rear seat, but for the center passenger leg room will be tight.
Engine Performance & Gearbox: My car is diesel top variant, yes there are small vibrations felt on 1st and 2nd gear, but once the engine cross the 2000 rpm mark the vibrations gone. Well balanced suspension setup is another highlight of this car, the steering is very light and fun to drive, it will become heavy on the higher speeds, no wobbling in three digit speeds, very zippy in city, but I always recommend you to stay on CITY driving mode, I have get fuel economy around 18-20 combination of city and highway driving (CITY mode).
The clutch is light and gearbox is slick. No vibrations on gear leaver felt, like some of small engine cars. Enough torque.
The only downside is the AC, the level of cooling is below par and need almost 10-15 min to cool the cabin in a sunny day. You need to switch on recirculate air mode get the optimum cooling. TATA really need to improve.
Ride Quality: Initially I have drove below 90 kmph speeds, last week in a highway I reached the speeds above 120 kmph, but I never felt insecure, its very stable and very planted feel.
Apart from the small engine, the seats, the suspension, the center console, the steering setup, fit and finish its way above the completions. (ion, i10, and celerio). It is definitely better car and worth of money what you spend.
Areas Need to improve: The AC and the uneven panel gaps issue should be addressed by TATA.

Guys, I am going for PDI today for my Petrol Tiago XZ. This one is June made.

I wanted to know if someone can help me with the contact of any outside insurance guys. I can use that to negotiate with showroom guys. Showroom is charging 20k around for insurance.

I read some where on the forum that Royal Sundaram are charging around 16K.

Thanks in advance.

Tata Motors experiences a 100 percent growth in the hatchback segment thanks to the Tiago
The recently launched Tata Tiago has seen a huge demand from India buyers and has taken the homegrown manufacturer to witness a 100% sales growth in the hatchback segment in India. Thanks to the growing demand of the newly launched Tiago, Tata Motors is experiencing a 100% sales growth in the hatchback segment in India. On the whole, the company clocked an increase of 37% in its sales for passenger cars in the month of June 2016 with figures of 11,705 units as compared to 8,516 units for the month of June 2015. This overwhelming response was not expected by Tata, and as a result the waiting period for Tiago went up to about 8 months recently. The manufacture had to start double shifts at its plants in order to meet the

Thanks @Prabhagar,
If you can share some agent from RS? Or you did online? Today I discussed this matter with SA. The only argument he could hold against outside insurance was "if you have in house insurance then claim will be easy and faster, otherwise until the insurer comes, service guys won't touch the vehicle.
I made full payment minus the insurance amount. I shall be getting vehicle delivered by next week Thursday.
I am choosing corner bumper protector as well as door beading as extra accessories.
I have a blue top class beauty xz who runs on petrol.

I did it online sir. They also have a toll free number on their website if you prefer to do it over the phone. Every dealer used that same trick to sell their insurances to customers.

Awesome and thanks sir. I shall talk to them today. If there is possibility then better to save some 5k and use on accessories etc.

Question for all respected members :
I want to give Tiago a little bit of Polo tsi look by putting a chrome strip from left fog to right for lamp. I am sure you all might have noticed they have black fiber type strip line running along. Whether it is possible and if yes then which place in Bangalore is best for after fittings. And if someone know a shop or person who is good at after fittings.

Thanks all in advance!

Yes you are right , When i went for booking tiago. Even the sales executive there tried to sell some insurance with quote around 20k, saying if you buy from us,Claims will be easier.

Its always better to buy the insurance from outside and spend that on accessories.

I have booked tiago XZ diesel berry red color from aadhya motors bangalore last week, They are quoting a waiting period of 15 weeks. I would like to know from tiago owners here about how long did you guys waited before the delivery.

I just came across a readily available tiago XZ for delivery in KHT motors,Kundanahalli,Bangalore without alloys with 13k discount. On inspecting further before booking I realised it was march made with might have vibration issues in gear lever as reported by some owners. So declined to book the same.

I got mine in 5 weeks (booked 20-Apr, alloted 28-May) but it varies based on demand in our area and how dealerships allot cars. Our friends in WhatsApp group also reported wait times of 12-15 weeks by dealerships.

While I agree with you on rejecting a March made Tiago, gear lever vibrations has nothing to do with manufacturing dates (at least till May). Mine is a May manufactured Tiago and gear stick vibrates at idle making an irritating noise as well. I have uploaded a short video of it and added to this post.
