@Vicky,

I had a similar experience this morning with one of the dealers. They offer 30K bonus but quoting low on my CAR. The Sales guy himself suggested me to sell within a known circle for a better price.

As the festive month will start from this weekend some competition among car sellers should work in my way too.[:)] Fingers X'ed.

Then it must be the same color of this TD vehicle but TD vehicle looked slightly yellowish white. I wanted to make sure before I will check with Dealer. Is this due to lighting or any other coat? The one in showcase is milk white with shining.

I see a difference in rear as well.
The difference is because the one showcased in the auto expo is polished , waxed and cleaned almost every hour and also the lighting creates a effect . The colour is same . Its called pearl white because its not that typical white . It has a metallic tinge and glitter to it .

See the difference here now in basically same colour sardina red in different lighting conditions .

the colour variant is due to different colour temperature of the lighting in the expo. it has bluish tinge to it. the natural light will appear a bit yellowish.

@Raja & Superbad,

I expressed a similar doubt about XUV as well. Showroom to outside there is a notable shared difference. White XUV was my family favorite choice but after looking the 2 year old TD vehicle we tabled our selection. We felt it was Chennai weather effect.

Thanks for clarifying this for me.[:)]

Mukesh - White Storme looked much elegant in all angles.

Friends,

Quick questions,

Today I went to both XUV and Storme dealers,

XUV:

What are all the must to have accessories besides the below? Since there is no much discount the dealer might offer some from below,

1) Mats
2) Film
3) Mud Flaps
4) Rear Camera
5) Rear Bull guard ( bumper guard)
6) Footsteps

Personally I like without body strips

Here I need your insights.

Coming to Storme:

They have not offered me any major discounts from the existing one 20k cash and 6 K Corporate.

It takes 3 full weeks to get the new vehicle vehicle, then I enquired about the display vehicle. He said it was manufactured in 2012 and then checked his manager. There is an additional discount of 30k.
With the discounts, Storme VX OTR comes to 15L. Is it worth pursuing on (2012) further? Any strong opinions on going for the display piece?

Is it worth pursuing further?

one year old vehicle.

consider the depreciation and the abuse the display vehicle might have suffered.

i would avoid that one.

Please go for mats and rear camera only.

Sun film is banned in India, install at your own risk.

Avoid mud flaps, they will look terrible. Same goes for rear bull guard... they will make your car look like a "taxi".

Install footsteps if you have someone elderly in your family.

It is best to avoid this display vehicle.

How do you like the colour? It looks gorgeous under showroom lightings but I am doubtful during day under sunlight.

Any comments?

@Suhas

That looks great under showroom lighting, but according to me it will disappoint you under the sunlight and looks very light and pale I think

That's my feeling too but other than regular ones there are not many options. May it look good for small hatch backs. Yesterday, when visited we could able to find 4 colors @ showroom. White, Silver, Blue, and Red. One of TD vehicle is 2 year old Purple but it failed to impress much did not look great either. Partly it goes with maintenance. Last evening, we went for a TD again and that was my third on XUV. Unlike the past the vehicle is brand new 700km and personally I felt tonns of improvements. Clutch is very smooth, brakes are confident, and suspensions are better. Per my experience Storme carries a better suspensions.

Raj_5004 - yes you are right. But the only advantage I see with rear bull guard is, it will act like a spacer especially for all the two wheelers. Traditionally they would only know that the bike is stopped only after slightly run in to the rear bumper[:)]. I will be surprised it is any different in other parts of country. It might be of a great saver in congested streets. BTW, it didn't look that bad on a silver XUV that was parked at showroom.
