Thanks for the reply navnit013 but thud sound from rear is quite loud and don't feel it's normal. Have never heard this sound in my SX4. Has anyone else in our forum faced this issue?
Before entering the TSC, consult your local mechanic (if you have any). Some times people (SA) make mountains out of a mole hill.

I still think its normal, REASON: Safari has a large volume and large surface area. SO the area inside acts like a "BASS BOX". The sound is magnified to a certain extent.

GET it checked to clear any doubts you have.

Take the car to the Service centre and ask for an explanation but see to that you drive and show them the sound or else for testing that sound they'll spoil other parts

Don't you nor the vehicle comeout without proper explanation

The Area Manager of TATA MOTORS number will be mentioned on the Board at the entrance of the service centre you can call that number and also complaint about this issue

1. Thud sound from only rear side while crossing pot holes on above 80 kmph, had to check but did not find anything. Not sure what is the actully issue, Do you guys think up size tyres are the culprits?
[cry]
Try making someone stand outside and observe as you speed over a bump, preferably take a fast turn up into a slope or something so that one side suspension is depressed more, you will notice if your 'thud' is when the upsized tires hitting the wheel arch.

BTW do you experience wobbling of upsized tires at high speeds? Are you feeling comfortable at high speeds/while braking?

Guys, my Storme is touching 5K mark and am really happy with it. Initially faced some issues:

1. Sound from all doors: Completely fixed and there is no sound anymore.
2. Strange noise from engine: Not an issue was just normal noise.
3. Thud sound: experienced only couple of times during my visit to Ranthambore after that no sound, have checked that during my visit to workshop.

My beast will visit workshop for second service soon and right at the moment i am not facing any issues related to anything. Just loving it more day by day.

@Wanderlust: Initially i faced wobbling issues when i got my up size tyres with alloys at a speed of 90+ but i got the balancing done and after that no wobbling issues at all, have touched 130 kmph (not advisable though) and my beast was very smooth.

While driving storme above 100 i feel my self as sitting in a plane which will soon take off [clap]

Regarding braking, as of now i have not faced any situation / not tested sudden braking but did not face any issue.

I am planning to add few accessories:

1. Seat covers: Will get them fixed next week.
2. Good quality mats, initially tought of 3D but they are very expensive, will visit palika bhavan and see if i can get some substitute. have heard some one got 3d mats for 2200 and other got for 3500.
3. Was thinking of fixing rear A/C, quotation was of 15k but have dropped the idea as of now.
4. Thinking of getting an arm rest (for reference see the picture below)

Did you asked TASC if fitting aftermarket alloys voids warranty or its safe? I think that the suspension warranty is void if alloys of any other specs other than the factory fit are used. Anyways, congrats, have a nice ride.

as far as i know No warrantey is voided after fitting aftermarket alloys. 90% of people go for aftermarket alloys and other stuffs.

Mukesh hope your ride had already gone for first service
1) Did you change the engine oil?
2) Did you change the air filters?
Will really appreciate if you could give a breakup of the first service cost

Thanks in advance
