The odo clocks 1,62,000 kms. Also got the rear brake cylinders changed alongwith rear brake liners.

The car met accident last saturday.:frown: It was driven by my younger brother. As of now the car is standstill at home will get it repaired in a month.

Hope bro is safe and the vehicle hasnt suffered much damage.

I dread to think what happened to the vehicle that got hit by the 3.0, though :biggrin:.

Man! Long time no see, I was missing a Bhiyao here on TAI, where were you?

THe Safari was hit by BUS [frustration]. It was my brothers mistake he was overtaking a truck while there was a bus coming from the opposite lane while crossing the truck the RHS Front side of bus got scraped badly against the RHS Rear of Safari.

Ha Ha. Well, here I am bhiyao.

Safari denting/painting is bloody expensive. How much is the damage?

Did a long trip in a 3.0 with a muddled up suspension. I am now writing a blog on "How to Develop Bulging Triceps within 600 kms."

Jabalpur Motors guy has called me up at least 10 times in the last 2 days "Saar, good offers on Safari saar...."

A bad suspension Safari is still better than a stiff Fortuner. The rear madly glides left-right on speed breakers (if you went over speed breakers fastly).As for the Jabalpur Motors, Don't ever buy from Jabal*ur Motors, he has a bad history of selling tinkered (new) cars. I will tell you, I once did a mistake of test driving Storme on Jabalpur Motors since then I have been cursed with their calls every month. Saar you want to buy Storme, we have very good offers saaar. I politely deny them everytime.

My mechanic told me it will cost some 30,000 Rs with parts sourced from scrap.
Bhiyao, should we plan a meet?

Scylla and Charybdis - better buy from Jabalpur Motors than that thug Sanghi. In any case, who is buying :biggrin:. Like you, I just test drove the Safari/Storme there LAST year, and from then on its just trrring trrring hallo saar good aafers saar bhan are ju baying.

Yeah will surely meet over some poha jalebi - we'll sort out your Roadking fetish too.

Rear door, Rear right fender, Rear Right Door, Rear Bumper, Rear Quarter glass, Tail light and some more parts are damaged.

As for the Damage, claiming insurance for a 8 year old vehicle is just another way of getting deeper into this ****. If I go and do it outside the whole work will cost me less than 25K. And the same in company would be above 50K. THe bumper alone costs 7.5K in company and the painting cost would be around 8K, Rear tail gate and other body panels will cost 15K, Labour charges and other smaller tidbits would cost 10K more. and Claiming insurance onthat I would hardly get 5K. Anyways, I have never done full insurance for my cars which are older than 5 years. This car is no exception and has third party insurance. Do tell me if you know a good Denter & painter.

Contact Suneer on 942-591-3231. He's the same guy I had told you earlier for ORVMs. Will do an okay job at reasonable rate. His workshop is near your home too.

p.s.: Painting during this rainy season may not be a good idea.
