@Friends:
The stunts you have seen in the video are not done on the 4WD low,why?Because such speeds are simply not possible in low ratios,and yes if you get these speeds in low then due to higher gear,the drifting is not possible.
Actually I know how to drift and also I love drifting the cars(Check out ACI forum,there I have been many times scolded for promoting the same)and what I know from my Safari experience is that:
Firstly:I am sure those are not purely stock cars in the video,they are rally sped modded cars whose rear seats etc have been removed for light rear portion,more powerful engine and other mods.
Here is one drifting technique,any of you Safari owners car try this in ground or loose sand covered surfaces:
Put the car in 3rd gear,and switch off the 4WD,now run it on 35 kph(15 kph when in 2nd gear,this will give fantastic results but dangerous too,10 kph in first gear,this will make the car simply move in a circle)on a loose surface and then press the clutch and accelerator both to the floor,now leave the clutch and partially accelerator(in this the rpm won't fall below 2500),press the front brake with a jerk and suddenly press the accelerator again by slight turnings on the steering(like zig-zag driving)and then tell me what you have done with your Safari.
While in the low,you can make those rings turning the car in circles(I was always failed in doing this)..
I have told you the procedure,now its upon you how you do it..but try it once please.
Warning:
1)Don't try this on roads.
2)The surface must be either loose soil(not more than 2-3 inches deep).
3)Never try this on Scorpio or other UVs,this trick is for Safari only because it has spikey power delivery,for linear ones,the trick is different.
4)While on loose sand like in deserts,don't engage hand-brakes for making drifts else your car will simply overturn.
