If you are referring to the thud then yes the nexon has a good thud on closing the doors but the ecosport also has very confidence inspiring thud you immediately know it is a tough built vhecile.
Yes you are right, we did TD ecosports but somehow i didnt feel connected, personally i wasnt going for Tata but after TDing the car changed all !!!

And does anyone tried for cabin light at rear, have enquired from dealer he said once cars is your you can check out from after market products

Camera for A pillar blind spot is not available. Will have to get used to it. Coming from Ritz it was not difficult for me. The real problem is with the c pillar which is really broad. While reversing that comes into picture.

Well you can use the reverse camera, while driving you can just switch on, unless you are using G-maps from Android car play for navigation.

Last weekend had some spare time,so finally decided to take out the brand new stepney, and see how it would go in place of front right tyre.Just for the heck of it!!I had been doing this thing(lets play tyre -tyre),in all my past cars and scooters(not so easy in bike). What I do it is this:1)use the jack stand 2)take out the tyre 3)clean it by washing it nicely 4)either put it back or use the other stepney tyre, which already has been cleaned earlier,in its place.5) clean the wheel well nicely first, then do the 4th step.
Looks pretty stupid, isn't it??Well I love my cars and more so the tyres.I want the tyres as well as the wheel wells clean,so it's not stupid for me atleast!!
Side effect of this exercise:1)nice clean tyres as well as the underbody all the time.2) you get to know your car as well as learn how to change the stepney in record time, all by yourself.3) many times I have discovered fine punctures, tyre- wall cuts, chipped paint and rusted underbody, as well as leaking stepneys this way.4)lots of nicks and cuts on your hands if you are not careful. 5) lots of time wastage for those who don't love this rubbish. 6) good exercise resulting in strong arms,7) no need of tyre rotation at all 8)angry,yes a very-very angry wife, who thinks she got married to a dumbass who loves tyres, and cars and jack stands and spanners etc etc.[anger]
Now the pics.

Can any body tell me that what need to buy P2P or gold AMC?
music system display screen is detechable?
screen is non detachable.Buy AMC if your running is high.

continuing from the last set of pictures,I have noticed water marks on my alloys.I am finding it difficult to remove them.Any ideas members??
One good thing I have noticed about the OEM tyres. These bridgestone tyres have very few stone pebbles embedded. It was not so with tyres of my other cars.It used to take lot of time and effort to remove small pebbles and stones, from J.K tyres,as well as M.R.F ones, even after washing them thoroughly. BUT THESE TURANZAS remain clean mostly.

Just completed my first long trip on nexon and here is my experience:

Started off from Bangalore on Friday morning at around 8. Had moderate to low traffic. City mode was adequate. Hit Hyderabad - Bangalore Highway and turned on Sports mode. It worked like a charm! The destination was about 410 km, and the drive was so smooth that we never felt it. I did not exceed 100 kmh and RPM was mostly around 1500.
After 250 km we had to exit the highway and take a road which was rough with lot of pot holes. There was a lot of "thudding" noise when the vehicle hit pot holes (unfortunately, the potholes were concealed, and the moment you hit the accelerator you invariably hit a pothole). But the suspension soaked them up and our backs were saved. The impact of tyre hitting potholes at around 60-70 was well absorbed by shock absorbers and tyres
Overall, the ride was good, and I think it is giving me about 19Kmpl - Tank to tank method. This includes City, sports and economy mode travel. 60% sports 35% City and 5% Economy modes
Positives so far:
1. Smoothness of the engine, and comfort.
2. Power in the sports mode - its easy to overtake most vehicles on the road.
3. Ride quality
4. Shock abosorbers
5. Driving position and seating
6. Climate Control - Simply superb. It adjusts to hot and cold climate very well
7. Infotainment system - Audio quality, and touch screen
8. Space - Lots of them, for both rear and front seats.

Negatives
1. The seat adjustment levers are very stiff, and do not sit in their positions very well. Not sure if this will go away with usage.
2. Utility space without proper cup holders, or mobile holders, as well as inaccessible USB ports is a little bit of a let down
3. Rear view camera could have been much better
4. I noticed that the vehicle tends to roll a little bit when driving around 60-70 on roads that are not very smooth (small potholes and layers). Is this something that others have experienced too?

Observations ( I would not call these negatives, but will wait until after 1st service)
1. Gear shifting was not smooth initially, although it got better during the latter part of the journey
2. After driving in sports mode for a long time, when I turned on city mode, the car refused to change behaviour..it still had adrenaline pumping, and was eager to race. So the ride was little jerky in the city traffic on my way back It took some time before settling down in city mode.
3. Mileage - I expected 20-22 Kmpl, particularly because I stayed within 80-100 Kmph for most parts, and the highway was super smooth without curves or steep gradients. But, I will wait until first service.

P.S. Unable to upload photos due to reasons unknown.!!! Any tips for uploading images??

Congrats for your NEXON. Wish you many many safe miles on it.Please post pics of your ride.[;)]
Gear shifts were notchy in my car too,but of late its getting smoother and smoother with use.It take a wee bit for the modes to change" actually",after you turn the mode dial on the console. Its normal.[:)]
