I got the delivery today and it seems the issues have already started :)
I got the tank full right after i left the showroom but the meter shows almost empty and a fuel sign has come up.

The overall experience was good i had booked the car few days back and didnt give any specific date.
I went to showroom at 11 am and told that I need the car today.
Handover was done around 6PM.
The whole staff was very friendly (Hartron motors Gurgaon).
Saved almost 9.5k on Zero Dep insurance by doing some research.

Many- many congratulations, and welcome to the nexon club!![clap].Which version you got??
Maybe some loose connector somewhere, not recording the fuel level[thinking].Get it looked up.

XM Deisel (White) : Didnt like 195 60 R16 tyres that came with XM .Got it upgrade to 215 60 r16 Pirelli :)
Now the Nexon got what it deserved.
Yes,I need to get it fixed.

My Nexon went for the 1st free service,as it had run 1500 kms and nearing 2 months. The experience at TATA was very good .In Fact it was extraordinary. It was better than mahindra even, and far- far better than a maruti, where its all formality and nobody gives a damn to you and your car.I was given personal attention all the time.I requested them to change the engine oil and oil filter at the first service.Evidently it was a first for them,so they showed their surprises and all ,but still followed up on my request none the same. There attitude was the best so far I have seen in any ASS. They were helpful in any query I put up to them, and they allowed me on the shop floor/service bay area to personally oversee what they were doing. This satisfied me a LOT!!They did not add any unnecessary- add- on -services in my bill.
Initially coming from a maruti, and listening to all those horror stories about TATA,I was very- very scared. But I knew in my heart that even if the service experience is 60% of the car delivery experience I will be pleased, and will not complain. But what happened there( and how as a customer I was treated),just impressed me a lot.TATA has definitely changed, and for the better.OLD TATA image is gone!!,and at least I am not scared anymore.!!
Few pics from the service scene.

Congratulations[:)]

Just one suggestion, change your engine oil at first service as it would help the engine linning for long run.
I did what you suggested[;)].Thanks for the advice. But do modern engines really need it.?Also why would TATA recommend otherwise??Member friends,if you are reading this, you can comment here as per your views.[:D]

Hello Mayank,

Thank you for frequently sharing your overall experience with Nexon!! It helped me to finalize my buy to a great extent when I was actually looking at a petrol AM.. :-)

I have booked diesel Nexon XZ+ Glasgow Grey from Concord Motors Bangalore.. Dealer is providing extended warranty and Gold Value Care as optional buy.. But I'm confused if it's worth the buy or is it just another gimmick by the manufacturer.. Any suggestions on this?

Extended warranty-
Additional 1 year @ 7k
Additional 2 years @ 11.9k

Gold Value Care -
15k km / 1 year @ 5,364/-
30k km / 2 years @ 16,668/-
45k km / 3 years @ 32,788/-

Regards,
Arun

I am happy, that my posts helped you along with your decision.[:)] Congrats for the Nexon booking.[clap]
If your driving is pretty much, only then it makes sense to go for gold value care, otherwise just opt for extended warranty only.

Finally dot the seat covers installed. They are the O.E.M accessory by the dealer.Cost me a bomb, but atleast I wont be afraid of the cold drink and popcorn-chips spill on the seats, by my companions and my son.[;)]

Hi,

Great review, followed this thread very closly as even i had booked nexon xz+ D white color.
One question for everyone ...
how to do you feel when the close the door, does it require a force or slight push is more than sufficient for this car ?

This one Q to myself and my better half, changed all. We TD cars like jazz, ecosports, scross and finally nexon.
All is great about nexon power looks and other stuff. And then i close the door after TDing, look to wife did you notice just woow ... ok book it ;)

Thats how we end up booking our nexon

Dear Rajdeep Ji,

please explain that how you saved 9.5 K in insurance..
Dealerships have a fat margin on insurances and accessories that's where they make most money but if you don't want to buy from the dealer you can get it from outside on a lower quote (difference could be anything between 8k-15k). Companies like new India insurance do it or you can get it sites like policy bazar. There is no point in buying it from the dealer unless he matches your quote from the outside vendor.
Regards
finally nexon.

If you are referring to the thud then yes the nexon has a good thud on closing the doors but the ecosport also has very confidence inspiring thud you immediately know it is a tough built vehicle.

Sorry for the late reply.

Its not about modern or old engines.

Why companies are not advising it as there are lot of reasons and not required in a perfect driving world however lot of time in runnin period there are chances (though rare) of the minute particles from new cylinder, piston etc to get in the oil, along with the extra burden work engine oil do in the runnin period, so it's recommended.

Always a good practice. Happy you went ahead with the same. Happy motoring

Hi All

I got my Nexon delivered yesterday. It is dual tone red Diesel XZ+ model. The delivery was pretty smooth (KHT Motors) and was on time. Also, they were quite nice and friendly. Drove around the car in Bangalore traffic (even got stuck in a bumper to bumper traffic for 30 mins). The vehicle handled the road and traffic quite well. Eco mode was good in bumper to bumper traffic and City mode pumped in adequate power in normal traffic.
First day experience was quite good. I would hold my comments on reliability and FE until my first long drive. But having driven Getz for 10 years, this was really an upgrade for me in true sense

Thanks
