The base Plastic quality is same, though the dying process used for Ebony plastic parts is much better to feel IMO. Also the black plastic hides lot of knicks and knacks present on plastic so it appears much better. but cappuccino interiors are very refreshing, something different.... it will be worth your wait

Here you go!
Please share more and pics of this beautiful and most uncommon color.

booked on 30th May.but still waiting.

Then though its good for Nano, its a news Short of disaster for other models.
TML have sold 8500 cars out of which 3000 are nanos, Which is straight tells 5500 are rest of the cars, Indica-indigo, Zest and Bolt. Indica, indigo does around 5000 monthly but again considering vista production stalled it may indicate zest and bolt doing like the prev month at best.

Congratulations Phoenix Bird for Nano AMT..!! Welcome to NANO Family [clap]
Took the test drive of Nano AMT few days back, a quick conclusion below:
1. Excellent product so far.
2. Engine is more refined as compare to 2013 production cars.
3. Build quality is excellent.
4. Previous niggles are taken care in this version.
5. Rear hatch is welcome addition and adds the functionality for day to day use.
6. Now the best part. AMT, wow!! what a pleasure to drive this tiny big car with auto transmission version, can't explain. don't wait and take a test drive and feel the difference.
7. Overall look is charming and fit and finish is excellent as compare to what you are paying for.

I am part of nano family since 2009 mate!!! [lol][lol]

Initial Impressions:

There are lot of new things in the new nano and then from other way it just stays the same. Apart from plastic quality nothing much is worth noting in the interior, maybe the new console. CupHolders from previous models are sorely missed in XTA variant, infact there is no space in the front cabin area where you can keep, shove, jam a 1ltr water bottle and expect it to be at same place after few kms of driving. Combination stalks are much better now. Handbrake feels much upmarket to use now. Brakes stay the same, they are in-adequate, only if you don't know how to drive properly, else they bring vehicle to halt from 90kmph to 0kph with confidence you get for 3.5 lac rs.

The beep sound it makes if you shift AMT lever without pressing brake is too long and intimidating, panicking for new (learning) drivers definitely.

Last and the least, AMT tranny has it's limitations, and they show. They show at wrong moments sometimes. Sports mode is bit too much and not really useful other than redlining with worst exhaust sound in nano's history (from outside), from inside the engine note is now too sweet compared to older models and it is very contrasting to what it sounds from outside. Even with AMT transmission car will stall if you don't *very* smoothly press accelerator while reversing on large inclines.

Coming on the highway (nano is a city car and blah blah, don't tell me that), manual nano be it old or new is *much* *much* better than AMT. Yes manual on highway will always be better but that is why i have 2 much with asterisks. AMT unit will kill your confidence on spot at times while overtaking long containers, (Even on Manual Mode) which never happens with manual nano. Highway ride stays almost same as old twist with bit better comfort at rear seats. Yet to test out in ghat which will happen soon.

So far, in my opinion Manual Nano (New/old) is *much* better than AMT unless you are person with DIRE NEED of automatic transmission. Or if you want to use AMT Nano exclusively inside city then there is nothing better you can close gaps with in B2B traffic. The small size, the Power steering and new steering wheel design and explosive 1st-2nd gear makes it perfect.

No doubt TATA Nano AMT is a beauty in several areas be it AC, cabin space, features for the given price with frugal engineering. Its a perfect car for city driving. TATA Nano team has done a remarkable job. Let us not compare it with any other cars like Alto/eon or expect it to do too much in highway, which is clearly wrong IMO. Recently had the test drive of XTA model and decided that I should choose this purple colored car for a perfect city drive.
Also I wish the credit card based 0% interest payment scheme is reintroduced by TATA. Hope some one from Tata Motors is reading posts from online forums to understand cutomer expectations on this product and with that intent Im posting the below recommendations.
Pros:
1) Generous Cabin space with marathon AC cum heater
2) Fully loaded features like USB music system and Bluetooth for the given price.
3) Enough leg space and headroom, for all which is a main USP.
4) Body strength is improved a lot compared to predecessors
5) Open able boot which is solid in build.
6) Engine sound is well refined.
7) Fuel display with fuel economy (IFE)
8) Perfect for city drives
9) Outclassed maruti alto in several fronts.
Changes expected in next update
1) Steering wheel with a flat bottom for more leg room(atleast in top end model)
2) External fuel filler hose.
3) Provide grey (honda city) and maroon (skoda) color shades. Multiple color shades in built to order.
4) Tachometer for manual variant.
5) Fuel gauge be needle based.
6) Gear indicator marking in Speedo console in manual variant
7) Alloy wheel be standard in top variant.
8) Head rest for rear seats. Sliding rear seat.
9) Change the design language similar to smart swatch car
10) Side view mirror with turn indicator light.
11) Optional LED headlamps.
12) Engine start only when driver seat belt is active + push button start.
Wish list for TATA Nano
1) Optional Airbags
2) Change the design language similar to smart swatch car
3) Better suspension like swift. Current one is like WagonR.
4) Increase list of accessories in ebay or flipkart
5) Provide a variant with super charger (electric blower) rather than a all new 800cc petrol.
6) Damper for front doors.
7) Sliding rear seat to increase leg space, when boot is not used
8) Front disc brake (option)
9) Central LCD display for parking display, GPS navigation
10) Android app for owner to run OBD from smart phone.
11) Day night ORVM
12) User configurable top speed limit

Slightly off topic, did my first trip on NANO XT(bought it in March 2014) between Bangalore and Chennai (was strictly using it as city run vehicle). It was a beautiful experience and pleasure driving plus light on pocket all the way. Some pictures from the late night trip (Took the picture mid-way and Don't miss the FE from a petrol machine)

Note: I was really blown over by the way the little master handled the bends/inclines
