Re: The Story of Tata's Epic Journey from Trucks to Aria

It feels nice to hear TATA pulling on all directions to improve in R&D. It already has R&D and testing centers in India, UK, Italy, Korea and Spain. It already has so much part development of its new cars in Korea. It has exported prototypes of Nano to Korea and Japan for improved testing and Now it has exported the Diesel variant of the Kite with the indigenously developed 1050 CC 3 Cly engine to USA for further testing. That is a positive sign for consumers as development is further enhanced by more cross-checking for multiple parameters will iron out many more defects and develop a truely world class product.
We hope we start getting better and better quality products from TATA Motors.

All the R& D product line up of TATA is all good. the after sales is the only glitch for TATA right now. as well as knowledgeable staff. if TATA sorts these out while they are developing thier product. I feel TATA would reach the place where it really deserves to be.

Found these two pieces of news from web. Still can't assure that the news is true.[:)]

Tata Motors European Plant in the works?

While the Deputy Prime Minister declined to confirm the identity of the automaker, Polish media reports indicate that it is Tata Motors. Sixth round of negotiations is going on between the car company and Polish government. If Poland wins the project, it would enhance its industrial output and increase the proportion of locally produced cars to over 50%.
FCA And Tata Motors Will Build A New Jeep Vehicle In India From 2017

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced it will invest approximately $280 million in a manufacturing joint venture with Tata Motors in India.

Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited will operate at the assembly plant in Ranjangaon, India where a new Jeep vehicle will be produced from the second quarter of 2017. Fiat and Tata Motors already build cars together at the site.

Tata has launched smart truck PRIM in Bangladesh in June 2015. I am not sure but I had read somewhere that sierra is first Indian car which was made 100% from Indian technology.

Yes Sierra was completely designed in india its 100% made in india product design inputs taken from DC Design and drive train system is swapped from tata 407DI truck TATA Sierra shares parts list of cars like TATA Estate, TATA Mobile, TATA SUMO(shares lader frame chassis and drive train), TATA 207DI RX Pickup truck, TATA TTL, TATA Xenon(Shares Ladder Frame Chassis),TATA SUMO Grande(shares ladder frame chassis) and finally the lagendary 1st gen TATA Safari(shares ladder frame chassis and drive train)

At that time tata motors is the only indian manufacturer did some good acceptable experiments by sharing commom parts in long list of cars [clap]

@gaddambhargavareddy the DC design was infact derived from sierra and not sierra derived from DC design. the design which was inspired by sierra was called ARYA.
i was reffereing to parts used being entirely indian. we all know TATA had the same ENGINE in TCIC safari as well as sumo,ESTATE and TATA mobile. TATA SIERRA was designed and produced in india. however i was just informing that not all the parts required were manufactured in india.

Big B’s new eye candy: cute and cuddly Tata Nano

The Tata Nano has been springing surprises ever since it was just an idea. Here’s one more.
A few weeks back, the Kolkata branch of Concord Motors Pvt. Ltd, a dealership owned by Tata Motors Ltd, had a rather improbable visitor—superstar Amitabh Bachchan. And guess what he had come looking for? A Tata Nano.
As things turned out, Bachchan wanted to test drive the new Nano GenX launched on 19 May. He drove the car and placed an order for not one but two Tata Nanos in red and purple colours.
Known to be a car aficionado, Bachchan owns models from every possible luxury marquee brands, ranging from a Bentley and Porsche to a Rolls-Royce and Lexus. It would be fair to say that the Tata Nano GenX by far is the cheapest of his acquisitions.
In an email interview, Bachchan talked about why he chose to buy the car.

What prompted you to buy the Nano—not one but two of them?
I liked the car, the latest version. I bought one for myself and one for my granddaughter. It was cute and cuddly like her!!
The car has been on Indian roads since July 2009. Did you consider it before?
I did consider it earlier, but had a small version Maruti (Zen), so did not get one.
How does the Nano fit into the collection of your marquee models?
It fits in rather well because it is so small in size!!
Where and when do you plan to use it?
I use it every day. I drive it myself, in and around town and my locality!
How often do you drive?
Everyday!!
Is it the first time that an Indian brand has found a place in your garage?
No. Maruti, Tata and Mahindra have found a place and still do.

Messi to campaign for Tata KITE?

If reports are to be believe Messi would be endorsing the new Tata Kite which is due to be launched shortly.

This is a very very good strategy adopted by Tata motors. Messi is a wellknown figure in India with all the kids, youth and football fans alike.

This will give a good impetus to the tata kite.

Re: The Story of Tata's Epic Journey from Trucks to Aria

with this news TATA has shown that they are really serious in grabbing the consumer car market section and that's a good news. also a complete makeover is happening inside the showrooms is what i have heard. Extensive training to the sales as well as the service staff is on the cards. TATA seems to be back in action.

This really shows that Tata have very serious intentions of grabbing the market. Remember Messi is Marquee player and has not come for cheap (unless he is a Tata fan and has agreed to do it for cheap. Yeah its only a dream thought)

This means that serious money is being poured in production of the Ad for Kite hopefully kite twins.
Just like micromax has Hugh Jackman endorsing thier phones, it will be Messi driving Tata Kite. Now I really feel they should have launched Kite as a segment above Zest.

Made-in-India vehicles for U.N. mission in Mali

In a sign of increasing Indian defence exports in the global market, Tata Motors has supplied 520 vehicles to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), including ambulances, jeeps, water and fuel tankers, recovery and refrigeration trucks and buses.

The contract was won in 2014 against stiff international competition and these vehicles have been deployed in mission areas in West Africa.

“Tata Motors exports its range of specialised defence vehicles to SAARC, ASEAN and African regions. With its rich portfolio of multi-axle 12x12, 8x8 and 6x6 heavy-duty vehicles, the company has started supplying to leading Original Equipment Manufacturers across the world, having established itself as a supplier of specialist vehicles,” Mr. Vernon Noronha, vice-president (defence & government business) of Tata Motors, told The Hindu.

New contract
Recently, Tata Motors won a contract to supply 1,239 units of High-Mobility Vehicles with material handling cranes and 500 units of General Service (GS 800) vehicles to the Myanmar Army in addition to signing a cooperation agreement with Malaysia.
