Hexa grill is for Hexa only or may be SUVs (assuming). Nexa/Kite grill is somewhat like new corolla grill setup.

The chrome strip flowing all towords swept back to headlamps. Check the pic of kite pasted in few posts above for reference:)

Check the stance/headlamps cavity, quite similar to kite sedan spyshot

As per me below are the things which is wrong with Tata Motors beside design language:
a. Design language - Zest and bolt really look decent but they are taking the additional baggage of older Tata cars and the similarity doesn't helps anyway in changing the brand perception. Sometime I feel they are just acting blind to the people's feedback. Tata, the smiling grill could be the greatest thing happened within Tata, but understand that people don't like it. And you are not Maruti which can sell literally anything.
b. Brand Perception - Tata makes trucks and taxis. That is what most people think. I personally didn't feel anything special being a Bolt customer. When you sit at their waiting lobby you are basically surrounded by bunch of Taxi drivers. I don't mind but many do. Although few Nano owners makes you feel home :)
c. Nano Fire Incidents - Many will not agree but the frequent fire incidents of Nano not only effected Nano's image but furthered damaged Tata's brand image
d. Slow in Innovation - Tata has been an innovative company (Safari, Indigo CS, ACE) but things happen very slow under their stable. I mean companies are launching new products at a rate never imagined before and I am hearing about kite from last one and half year. The black C pillar was first showcased by Bolt but my friends say that Bolt has tried to steal it from elite i20 off course its not true
e. A.S.S - They are as good as local mechanic. People out their don't have a clue how a taxi is different from personally owned car. Common Tata, Nexa is something which is more important for you rather than Maruti not only for sales but for service too

Unless Tata fixes these things nothing is going to change. Till then they will depend on fanboys like me [lol]

Good luck to tata motors with their design language. I hope they clearly understand this word. And also hope the ad money given to messi is taken is not from designing.

Info from Motoroids article:

Exclusive : Tata Nexon compact SUV details partly revealed

Of late, the news of Tata’s upcoming SUV with a certain codename is doing the rounds on the internet. At Motoroids, however, our reliable sources confirm that the new compact SUV from Tata will continue to be called the Nexon upon launch, same as the name of the compact crossover concept shown first by Tata at the 2014 Autop Expo.

That the new Tata Nexon compact SUV will be sub-4 meter in length is common knowledge; however, there are some more interesting, juicier bits which have been revealed to us. To start with, the Nexon will feature a floating-type roof with black pillars, for a premium, urban, upmarket look. The new compact cross will get a nice, aggressively squat stance with chrome embellishments. For e.g. chrome beadings on the window sills.

The key visual highlight of the Nexon will be the wide array of customization options, including contrasting colour combinations for roof and body along with body kits. The new car will have some resemblance with the upcoming Hexa crossover up front though it will be sharper and edgier than any Tata model that has seen production till date. The Nexon will ride on 16 inch wheels for the top spec model.

Unlike some of its competitors like the TUV300 and the Ecosport, the Nexon will not have a tail-mounted spare wheel. It will instead have its spare wheel stowed under the floor. The upcoming vehicle may adopt a 7-seat layout, especially in view of the success of the TUV300 owing to the flexibility it offers in terms of seating capacity.

The interior of the new car will be all-new, and will draw inspiration heavily from its much more premium Land Rover cousins. A few interesting details about the interior include a high-positioned central floating panel with a stubby manual shifter stick. The new generation Harman infotainment system on the car will feature a freestanding touchscreen unit on the dashboard a La Mercedes-Benz. The interior of the car, if the sources are to be believed will be the real highlight of the new machine and will make it stand apart from the rest of the pack.

The Nexon will be powered by the next generation of the 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine with close to 120 bhp on tap. Diesel power will be provided by the 1.3 liter Multijet engine without the VGT, offering 75PS of peak power. There will be an F-Tronic AMT for the diesel on offer, in a more refined state of tune.

As mentioned before, the Nexon will take the fight to the Ecosport and TUV300. Expect the prices to start from as low as sub-6 lakh levels with the top end variant nudging Rs 9-10 lakh

The Nexon based compact crossover will be displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo and will be launched towards in the later part of the year.

We’re on the job, trying to get more details out, and will update you as we have them with us. In the meantime, do share your initial views on the things Tata Motors need to be mindful of while launching the new model if it really has to be a success.

Tata have made big mistake here, they need to provide the 1.3 Multijet with VGT. 75ps won't be enough for this, more so if its a 7 seater (a la TUV3oo). Better Tata develop it as 5 seater. Petrol won't be that important, but diesel definitely is and Tata haven't realized that here. Regarding the mounting of spare wheel at the back, it depends on how the vehicle is designed if its butch like TUV3oo then the spare wheel should be at the back.

Scorpio (fullsized SUV) also has a 75HP engine. for general buyer no. of horses doesnt matter, what matters is the torque which gives the feel of power once accelerator is pushed.

+1 to that. The car is a cSUV should be a comfortable 5 seater than adding 2 good for nothing seats. TUV seats to me just to fool people that it is 7 seater.

Well people are calling the nexon as mini evoque. So there should be quite a bit of similarities with evoque. For that rear wheel will definitely look out of place.

Are you sure the Scorpio has a 75 bhp engine ? I dont think so, It has a bigger 2.6L engine.

Tata should offer this Nexon with 90bhp Engine like in the Zest. 75bhp and 190 nm of torque wont be enough. I would rather prefer the 90 bhp version which has extra torque IIRC

I don't think Tata will offer the same old 1.3 MJD. There were news about the development of new 1.5 Turbo diesel engine. I think they would offer that new engine.

I think they decided on MJD 75 PS cause of Pricing as they need to be aggressive on it maybe we see two different tune of engine as well.
