Tornado, I think i missed your thread, my apologies , but will be following closely from here, never knew a doc who would go all this extent with his automobile. Kudos! I like the pedals as well.

Great Updates though we need more pictures please, especially with 7 adults and 3 children

I am humbled due to the appreciation shown by two masteroes in a row.

we need more pictures please, especially with 7 adults and 3 children
I was so horrified due to scrapping (probably area where we apply jack for left front wheel)that I forgot to take snaps but will do it whenever I get opportunity. They all were neighbors of my relative who was admitted in the hospital.

Those momo pedal covers are looking nice.

..the solution used as adhesive manufactured at Daman UT (Autosafari 's city)[thumbsup]

Now black plastic panels seriously require polish , will get it done after my 3m study is complete on TAI.
Welcome to Daman. Plan for a long drive and we shall meet at Daman.

You can try Formula 1 protectant (around Rs 300) as an interim solution for the plastic panels. That gives an instant shine and the gloss is long lasting.

Iron Rock, thats normal for Manza.

We too have an experience travelling that many people in our car.

Even though we prefer to travel 4 persons in a Sedan, some times more people are to be accomodated.

Reliable Manza Diesel : Unpredictable but improving TASS :30kkm servicing.

30kkm servicing experience:
On Jan 29 , I recd a call from NAW TASS. Lady told me that servicing is due and fixed an appointment for next morning.

Took the car to the TASS and got the problems mentioned in my previews post on the job sheet. The same SA attended me who recd. 10\10 ratings last time.He told me that by evening car would be ready.
But in the evening , he told me that the work is yet to begin due to heavy work load. But they serviced and delivered a Storme which had come at 1 pm .

I shouted at them.[frustration]

Next evening they sent the serviced car with a driver to my home .All problems were solved but WBWA was not done for unknown reasons.[frustration]

I took a TD , every thing felt nice except the plastic cover of the B pilar (left) which was
loose for unknown reason as no work and handling of B pilar was expected during the servicing.

The driver told me that bill could not be prepared due to computer problems and asked me to enquire and pay tomorrow.

Overall after 30kkm, my impresions about the car are -Reliable Manza : unpredictable but improving TASS.
Car never let me down so far , loved it.
So I request mods to change the smiley of the title from ' frown ' to ' big grin'

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (30K Kms Report)

Bill for 30kkm servicing + minor repairs was as follows.
Oil filter- Rs 365
Synthetic castrol oil Rs 845/lit x 2.9 lit =Rs 2450
BARDHAL Engine tune up and flush (liquid)-Rs 444
BARDHAL special duty (liquid)-Rs 444
Other item-9 Rs 175
Labour charges for oil, air filter cleaning /flushing and servicing Rs 675
All suspensions nut bolts tightened -Rs 100

Sun visor -RS 280{replaced as it was not available in upholstery color at the time of first accident }
AC motor remove , refit check Rs 0.00
Loose wiring fitting -Rs 0.00
Engine support -check Rs0.00
Sun visor fitting and rear LHS inner door lock repair labour charges -Rs 280
Various taxes on above things @12 to 15 % = Rs 730.
Total bill was ~Rs 5950 .
If we deduce non servicing related spares and labour (sun visor and door knob repair) i.e.Rs 560+ taxes = approx Rs 600, then 30kkm servicing cost isRs 5350 approx.

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (30K Kms Report)

:biggrin:Recd a call from TATAS to enquire about the 30kkm servicing feedback.I told most of the things are done well but the AC clutter noise has reappeared and new ' kat ' kat' noise comes whenever ac is taken on ' inner circulation' mode.

Next day recd.a call from TASS and they asked me to bring the car for same reason. They changed the blower motor and one more motor in warranty , and returned the car within 2 hrs.without any labour charges.Gave them 10/10 on feedback form.

There was a certificate on the wall, issued by TATAS to the TASS (NAW) stating that their speed of service is near 90% of expectations.

This is the third instance of the blower inlet damper assembly replacement in this forum itself. [frustration]

I was happy for the quickness , followup and quality of the service on the part of TATAS though TASS people didn't done it in one go.

For manza , blower issue seems to be KPS (known problems and solution)issue.

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (30K Kms Report)

Simply got stunned , I was yet to recover from the shock received due to quickness of TASS, I got a call from TASS (NAW) to enquire about the car and AC performance.I said all is well but I want to get the AC cooling efficiency checked at TASS. . The TASS man said , he will reach my home within next 1 hr or next morning morning whichever is convineant to me!
I said no need to come here , I will come to the TASS , as it's on my daily route with prior appointment.

Mr. karl ... hello..Mr. Karl , it seems you have started working now in TML. Pinch me if you can.

I forgot to mention, during 30kkm servicing , the CRM and SA told me thatsince tyre condition is deteriorated and wheel alignment would be useless due to the same .Don't know how true it is!
I didn't raised any objection as ride quality is satisfactory.and tyre condition is also satisfactory.

BTW, Now odo is @37 kkm, visited arabic sea shore , Mahabaleshwar , Matheran hill stations , no problems faced and the car is moving and serving my purposes nicely.

Now only issue faced is on and off rattle under the dash.Response from TASS for the same is mentioned here

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (30K Kms Report)

Yesterday , I took my manza to National Autowheels TASS PUNE for the under dash and door lock rattling .Also since last few days , I am experiencing hard clutch especially when the car used within city limits. The gear shifting is also hard. and it gets obstructed while engaging reverse gear (needs to press the clutch pedal really hard so as to engage the reverse gear)

I also ordered a spare bulb as one of the bulb was fused off few days ago.

SA noted down the issues , AC fan and temperature regulation knob were the things responsible for rattle and I demonstrated the same during the TD. SA said he will make the car ready by evening.

I asked my father to wait at TASS and follow up the work repeatedly .I took my father's car and left for a conference .

3 o clock in the afternoon , SA called up me and said that rattle issue is solved but the clutch needs to be opened and pressure plates needs to be replaced. And work would take another day .
I shouted at him for not opening the clutch in the morning itself. He said that it was not possible as work for rattling issue.
He told me to bring the car on some other day (as next day was holiday)for clutch issue , and they have done some cluth setting for temporary relief from hard clutch.

They charged Rs 500 for fitment of air con.
Today , to my horror , I found that the AC temp regulation knob rattle had not improved even by one percent!
Also the SA didn't provided the spare bulb (headlight) [frustration][thumbsdown]

Is it possible to diagnose the health of the pressure plates without opening the cluth ?

My father brought the car home.

Re: Reliable Diesel Manza: Unpredictable But Improving TASS (30K Kms Report)

[frustration]Today , I went to TASS , SA told me that clutch was not opened throughout the day because he was looking after the rattle issue. I told him the under dash-AC temp regulation knob rattle has not disappeared neither the under roof rattle has gone.
He demonstrated me on other manzas that the AC Knob rattle is present in all of them, whenever the knob is rotated, and it is absent when knob is stationery. Also he said that the under roof rattle would disappear when the roof upholstery is stuck to the metal roof with some adhesive solution.
I said if this is the case then why the hell he did not proceed for clutch work as the AC Knob rattle was inherent and the roof was not stuck with the solution.

I forgot to drill him for not providing the spare bulb , now I am running the car without spare bulb.[frustration]
