Agreed TORNADO

But then its TATA and they serriously think of cost cutting wherever possiible, without understanding the sync between what the marketing guys are thinking as a target audience for this car vis a vis, Is it really required to cut costs in such a vehicle
Here actually what happened is that TATA is not doing cost cutting they are providing proper spare Tyre as the fitted one. But Ford, VW, hyundai doing the cost cutting by providing smaller size tyres.

Re: Tata Manza QJD Aura: 9 Months / 20K Kms Ownership Review

30 mins. back , I reached Naw (National Autowheels) pune, workshop, found workers including SA MORONS preparing for DIVALI,got a pic .I wish they gather around a car, when it reaches the workshop with a nigel.[cry]

Two hrs.back I called NAW workshop, came to know clamps including ARB bush are available with NAW.

SA Rahul attended me.I asked him to check the cluth, He said it is 'too hard', promised to get both the problems solved by morrow.
I told him to check the oil , he said it isi less viscous, and get the history checked, as oil was changed 3kkm back.

I told the lady incharge that I will not leave the workshop till my car is taken on ramps.
then I entered the waiting lounge to find cabies utilizing it as seen in the pic posted. .....here

Got the' ARB bush along with mounting clams' changed to day, they also changed 'bearing block of ARB'.need to check on speed breaker (they were not available nearby) The SA said that it is not covered under warranty hence I had to pay. Photo of bill and part code is attached herewith.@AS , please check it with your.

Also clutch setting is done (clutch was very hard since last 3 days), now It feels ok.
HR,

I got my car checked this saturday. The same old front suspension sound has re-appeared and it was worse in the last week . Spoke to the concerned SA (Keshava) and told him very sternly about the front suspension and also asked him about the anti roll bar (ARB) replacement from TATA. He checked the history of the car and told me that the ARB is not replaced in my car. He checked with the inventory and confirmed to me that he will replace it now.

Took the test drive with the SA and found that the front suspension sound has vanished now. The power windows are functioning properly at present.

So, all in all the service experience was good and all the problems have been addressed.
I gave my feedback with the service history to the CS manager (Usha). She patiently listened to me and promised me a good service this time. This also helped me in getting things done promptly]
@As, m_c, rudolf, hr, first of all thank you very much for helping each other to diagnose and find solution for notorious ARB bush problem. Reputation ' thumbs up 'button is not working on my galaxy ACE, will do it on my laptop ASAP.

This time newly joined SA Rahul joshi(under supervision of MADHURI) attended my 'bush and cluth' problem. He was working with Hero honda since last seven yrs, .Recently he joined NAW TASS after receiving training at 'Chinchwad pune' factory for 7 days. I found him knowledgeable and sincere than other SA s (read morons).
He followed up the work satisfactorily on time except the warranty issue. [clap]gave him 9\10 on feedback form.
Everybody in the showroom was surprised to see that I was silent and no abuses were thrown at them first time since I bought the car.

Re: Tata Manza QJD Aura: 9 Months / 20K Kms Ownership Review

:stupid:yesterday, I was traveling on NH4, pune to karad stretch, road was less crowded due to ' sugar cane rate agitation' So I decided to open up the manza, slowly increased the speed up to 140 kmph, drove the car in the range of 130 to 140 kmph for a stretch of 50 km.managed to drive it @145 kmph for 2 minutes., then rememberad that LIC premium is pending and came back to sanity, thanked God and TATA . and decided not to do such speed in future.

[:)] even if the LIC premium was paid driving @140 all alone in car is not recommended as manza is light body car & in case of Aura its not even fitted with ABS EBD braking, without abs can cause serious repercussion in case of sudden braking.

I daily speed 100-120 even though mine is ABS plus model I would never do 140+ if I am alone in the car, I mostly drive 140+ when 4 adults sitting & boot is loaded so the car handling is much better & stable. Just drove on 140 yesterday on Yamuna expressway (4 lane).

Drive safe irrespective LIC premium paid or not paid. [:D]

Re: Tata Manza QJD Aura: 9 Months / 20K Kms Ownership Review

Since last 2 days (appro x 1500 km from last TASS visit for clutch setting) the clutch is hard again both on highway and city road.
Also the bonnet lock has gone kaput (unable to lock)

Today went to National Autowheels pune TASS, SA (Same who attended teh clutch problem last time) said it is too tight. and agreed that engine is also hotter due to the same. and asked me to bring the car morrow morning.

One thing I noted since the tight clutch, that rpm levels go higher than expected even with little pressing of accelerator while on road.

Today,

bonnet lock was replaced as the locking rod attached to the bonnet lid had gone missing cost Rs 100 + labour charges Rs 100 .

Clutch was checked and some greece lubrication was done. Now it is soft as before. The mechanic said that they have tried their level best to save my money becoz if clutch plate needs to be changed then cost is approx.Rs 11000.

I managed to establish contact with a person inside with the help of my friend.
Then the things moved faster than ever.

Also fitted two new wheel plates @Rs560 /plate ,as I lost one at the time of wheel rotation and one' during highspeed driving last fortnight.

Re: Tata Manza QJD Aura: 9 Months / 20K Kms Ownership Review

After the clutch resetting /lubrication I found that the pickup of the car has increased.
The torque feel is better than ever before especially 1st,2nd,3rd gears.

Previously , when the car use to cruise in those gears on flat horizontal roads with all the feet off the pedals.I had to press the accelerator pedal little bit whenever it use to encounter mild climbing slopes and keep the pedal pressed till the climbing part is over and car is again on the horizontal surface..But now there is no need to touch the pedal on such slopes, car keeps on moving by virtue of torque genetated prior hand.
It is really aluxurious driving experience. Before clutch resetting/lubrication, my complaint was pain and in left leg but now right foot is also happy.

Just need to check its effect on FE .

Re: Tata Manza QJD Aura: 9 Months / 20K Kms Ownership Review

Model -Tata manza aura qujd 2011
Fuel -diesel.
Method -tankful/mid

75% semihighway (less than average state highway) ,10% ghat climbup ,15% city

.type of driving -
1)most of the time I am in hurry, most of the time overtaking vehicles next to me , rpm level is at 1900 before overaking and at 2500 to 2800 while overaking (suv s are also not spared ), and at 2000 after the manuvour is complete.

FE - 19 .5 kmpl

2} Iremember when I was new to proper use of' turbo range ' FE was 16 .5 kmpl.

3) If my father drives it on National highways., FE is 23 kmpl.( Akhir Bap , bap hota hain aur Beta beta hota hain)[clap]

4) National highway drives 100 to 130 kmpl with proper use of turbo with 4 people on board FE is 19 kmpl.
My car completed 1 year last week with 27 kkm on odo.
Insurance premium of ~ Rs16000 paid (NCB couldn't be availed ) .For Zero depreciation they had asked for Rs 25000, I couldn't afford it.

On 31st dece.I was traveling on NH4 (Pune karad stretch), I could touch 157 kmph as roads were devoid of vehicle due to new year celebrations between 11 pm to 12 mn.

No major issue faced during first year.

The only concern now is the engine is little bit noisy at the time of cold startas compare to past, also little bit more vibrating at the time of switch off.TASS engineer said it is normal.
Plan next yr.-
additional speakers for ICE.
Wood finish for interiors.
3M treatment for interiors .
Suggestions welcome if any.

Visited, our farm cultivated by my parents on Krishna river water for 1 year and new year celebration.
.Got the lungs, heart and brain turbo charged and intercooled with the fresh air, would be enough for next 15 days atleast.
Wheat and cane farm can be seen , the lake is awaiting fresh release of water from irrigation authorities.
The special breed of the dog, keeps monkeys and peacocks away.
