Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

@autosafari,

I have one question about the seat covers. How do you maintain them? They look like they might get dirty easily.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

Nice pics buddy!
To be true, I hate tata cars but not the manza because it has a nice speedo position.
In other cars, the speedo is in the middle so i would have to ask the rear middle seat person to tell me the speed!

Also, here is one suggestion, DONT go for Manza Elan alloys. IMO you should go for some aftermarket ones (Platis, etc).

Cheers!

Highway Ranger,

These seat covers were fitted last year (on the next day after getting car delivered at home)

After one year they remain as they were new.

One reason could be that we drive with windows rolled up and AC on always.

I don't do any thing specific for keeping them clean

Nice pics buddy!

lxi, All TATA cars are having meters positioned like this with the only exception of Vista.

I am not going for alloys right now. However I liked the design of dual tone Manza Elan stock alloys.

Yes, The Vista Top end model also has the same alloys as in manza elan.
Yes, I was talking about vista only(Speedo console).
Buddy, post a pic of your manza (Full Side pic), so that I can edit and add alloys to it and you will come to know how they will look on the SUPER SEDAN!

Thanks a lot lxi.

Nice photoshop job.

Alloys selected by you is also looking good. Infact my family liked your selection of alloy wheel more than the Manza elan stock one.

Could you please do a lip spoiler job. I can post a rear view picture later but if you can do that now in this side view picture, it will give a different viewing angle.

lxi, Thanks for that lip spoiler job.

I am looking for a spoiler which is sitting closely (almost parallel) with the boot lid.

Re: After One Year - Manza Ownership Experience

After the first service, noticed a paint defect in the rear bumper- A patch of about 6 inch dia with a slightly different shade.

Checked with service center. They confirmed my doubt that it was a bad job done by the Dealer to remove some scratches which would have caused while unloading from the truck or due to rash handling at the yard.

Service center guys also confirmed that there is no dent repair. It was only a bad touch up job.

Reported this to WASAN Motors. They were insisting that their could not be any damage from their side and they just sold a car as received from TATA Motors.

Then they informed me that its a manufacturing defect and any authorised service center will rectify that in warranty.

When we took the car for second service, TASS at Vapi confirmed that its a defect happened at the Dealer and they can rectify it provided they get a confirmation from WASAN Motors.

Send an e mail to WASAN Motors. Over phone they keep on insisting that any TASS can rectify this for me.

After some reminders to the Dealer for which I did not get any response, I have just mentioned in the mail that I am reporting this to TATA Motors. Next day I got a reply from WASAN Motors and they were requesting me to take the car to their work shop and they will rectify all complaints. Since its 200 km away I was not keen. I replied to them saying that I want to get the rectification done in a service center near my place.

Time being I have reserved my decision since the shade difference is not looking so bad and the gloss of waxing is blurring the difference. Now I don't care about a shade difference in the rear bumper.

Welcome Buddy. The spoiler sitting closely is only called a Lip Spoiler. The spoilers (Normal ones) are Slightly up from the Body and Attatched from 2 places only. The lip spoiler is fully stuck to the body and looks nice and better!

Dear lxi, what I meant was a lip spoiler not projecting up or one which do not stand out vertically.

In other words over the boot lid, it has to be as close to the boot lid as possible with only projection/protruding thickness equal to the thickness of the spoiler.
