Aftermarket sun-roofs are not a good idea, since they involve issues of structural strength (roll-over cases & other accidents). If it is an original mfr's factory option, then one may assume that they have done their sums right & provided additional structural reinforcement. Since it is not the case here, but TML is providing it, one can keep one's fingers crossed & hope that TML has exercised due diligence![:)]
Definitely! That is why I think TML should have provided Top End Hexa with Sunroof feature. May be its in pipeline with Hexa face lift.

BTW its been 2-3 months since Hexa is launched but still not a single car seen on road yet. [surprise] I stay in Mumbai & travel for my office on a busy route but still yet to see newly purchased Hexa on the Road. Waiting to see one at least in upcoming days!

To be honest, looking at the profile images of both (Aria & Hexa) I dont see too much difference. It is obvious that the Hexa looks definitely neater & better finished, but the proportions & outline are almost identical. The image on the left (silver) is the Hexa. Fingers crossed.

Hexa has made all the right impressions. 80% sales will be for top end variant meaning 20 Lk on an average. Good numbers considering there is high waiting period for the vehicle. Need more advertisements, road shows etc.

I am not bashing but Mar 17 sales is 940? [frustration]
Give any explanation but 940 is not at all motivating number. It was good at first month (for almost 15 days in Jan with almost 80% of them sent to Dealership as TD vehicle's), second month that gone down & third is less than 1000[surprise]!

Common TML, Hexa is not Safari to get sale less than 1000. It should be reaching sales numbers of more than 3000 Hexa's a month, at least! Hope this is like The Rabbit and the Turtle story & sales will reach at maximum numbers in upcoming months.

Both trip doesn't work if you drive with one of the trip meter on display, the other trip meter won't change.
But if you keep display on odo then both trip meter will work.
This is wrong. Both trip meters should work irrespective of which one selected. I normally use Trip B for my service intervals and keeps on reset Trip A based on if I am going on a long trip or for fuel consumption.

Cheers !!

Tata Hexa so far : 2.5 Months 8,000 bookings, 4,000 deliveries

TheHindu

"The waiting period for newly launch next-generation car Hexa is about two and a half months and over 75 per cent booking is for top end variants"-Mayank Pareek

Seems like the delivered cars are majorly top end XT/A/4x4 variants ! seeing the waiting periods of 8 weeks for lower variants i'm hoping for a rejig on features for the lower variants soon .

I saw a discussion on variants of Hexa and how ill equipped the lower variants are compared to the top variants.

Well, if thats the case, I think its a good thing. As a customer, you are not confused looking at the variants. You are in a clear state of mind when booking the car, as in what is missing from the lower variants etc etc. Hence the higher number of bookings for the top variant I think. Clarity.

seriously you will say anything to defend the car ? [confused] i am really surprised at your statement. there should be less and less variants with more features as standard fitment then only new segment first features can be introduced.

as a customer you demand features at a lower price and not to give a thumbs up to the company for not providing features at lower variants.

I understand and would love to stand with you, however, its the company where people ask for dirt cheap price or I would say people can buy Safari at the cost of endeavour if launched by Toyota but would ask a price of Thar even Tata would launch Evoque under their own brand.

So it depends upon brand, buying public and the segment; especially in India[frustration]
Exceptions are and will still be there [;)]

Just one question to this - Who is responsible for creating this image?

You will need a lot more years to rebuild an image if it was once proven so. In most cases in this fierce competitive auto world there will be NO second chance!

I can agree if people without any knowledge of the product who listens to just word of mouth but won't agree with an enthusiast writing here at this site.
Also brand is a really big thing. A person with a good brand can sell peanuts for gold's price and still people buy that. So you can't compare one brand to another. Other brand like Toyota can do whatever they want like not providing a music system in a 17 lakhs car. Don't see anyone complaining.

Yeah if I may add, Ford and Hyundai are good examples of companies that turned their brand image around totally

Hyundai was once thought of as an afterthought competitor to Maruti until they brought in the Getz, Verna etc. Seeing the good experience people had with the Zing, more people were willing to purchase more Hyundais and soon i20 swooped in and transformed the segment totally giving tough competition to Swift

Ford is another good example, starting from the Ecosport and Endeavour, they have upped their after sales and features big time , so much so that cars from more established brands like Vitara Brezza, BRV, Duster, S Cross, Fortuner etc are facing the heat

Seeing this, my Japanese car loving family is also considering Ford and Hyundai as our next purchases

Tata has brought very compelling products too but it now has to prove its worth in after sales otherwise itll continue to be hit or miss after sales like Renault-Nissan and I think they will improve hopefully but at the moment, Ford and Hyundai are on my radar personally
