Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

This car has i believe has ironed out all the inefficiencies that aria had. So this is refined new car. Now that Tata have come up with a good product or i would take liberty of saying a wonderful product capable of shaking the segment, what remains the positioning and advertising the product.
Well, though that ARIA is a well refined product and has been majorly trouble free and has undergone a serial changes, it still carries the same shape and though you say it is a new product, people tend to think it is the same car again. That's a general thinking of a layman. Now the task is to shake it all out and make people believe it is an all new car.

I want Tata to come up with real classy ads which will appeal to the elite of the society and those who have money. Some thing on the lines of Reclaim your life. May be a tag line, Reclaim your life again.
One ad is already out a few months ago.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

I just got some pictures of some features about the Hexa. Looks like they are taken fom Autocar India.
DSC_0061.JPG

Six speed gearbox G450 can take 450NM of Torque but here it develops only 400 NM. So maybe for twin turbo engine? Multi-Colour screen MID is great.

Harmann touch screen now also controls Multi Drive mode

Bolt and Zest seem to be going great guns on the quality front. They say dealers giving info.

Seems like dealers are now happy with low cost of quality claims. Good for customer experience.

Good work Tata. Late but quite precise:)

Make sure no quality/design issues ie mud in engine bay and handbrake issues reported by owners in Zest even after 30000 hours of testing.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Here's a fab from TATA, just came across an article by NDTV and close look to the stunning design by Tata Motors. Definitely Eye Catching. Hexa look more Muscular.
And i disagree to the fact that it looks like ARIA, it has DNA of Land Rover discovery. Please refer my last pic.

Just one word - Amazing!![clap]

Hexa seems to be good blend of design, features and stunning looks. Well done!! TM

^^ Images are from the Autocar India September 2015 issue, read it complete and liked it too.

And the last one is an LR, not Hexa.
I didn't compare the 2nd and the last pic and after watching the last pic i thought it looks so good. Now i know why [lol]

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

Hyundai too has the same brand image as TATA. But Hyundai could up the ante only a little bit. But TATA has managed to degrade itself a few steps. Never mind both are at the same place as Niether of them have managed to sell premium cars. Hyundais' have has multiple failures with the Sante Fe, Sonata and Elantra. TATAs' were in a better spot with the Safari until they did not have a rival. As they competition took on Safari with Scorpio, Innova, etc., the brand started faltering as they did not up the ante according to the time.

Now we need to see how they will be able to up the ante with the HEXA and their future offering with the Q series of SUVs.

Thats quite a nice transformation from Aria to Hexa [clap], though I feel the front still has MPVish character because of the snooping bonnet. Job well done and if they can up their game on the QC front this looks like a winner.

Re: Tata To Rename New Aria as Hexa (Codenamed Eagle)

To be frank i never was a Tata fan, quality issues, pathetic service, they also have resale value drops like high end Mercedes.

But if whatever i read in the Autocar issue turns out to be true & final end product is atleast 95% similar. Then Tata will have a winner, even i would put my money down on one if pricing is right.

Edit - I was really impressed where they went for an European seat supplier to get the best quality, comfort & have a 10 speaker system from JBL put into the car also.

Hormazd sorabjee, usually gets it right-perhaps india's most respected auto-journalist. So if quality is good, then price is the only thing between tata and success.
What if it came in at under 10laks-initial offer, like the XUV, (suffer some loss for a few months) and when people accept the product then come to a rational price (not innova level)?-perhaps then they can target ~1.5 k sales a month?-the XUV seems too well entrenched to be displaced in a hurry
