TAI's 3rd Banglore - Chennai Meet on 28th September at Yelagiri

if am coming i might need to come back by 5 to 6 back at Chennai. [Max by 7 I have to be in Chennai.

If you start at 3:30pm, you can reach Chennai by 7pm.

will make a plan according to that.

We shall keep it flexible. Since departing by 4:30 - 5 pm might not help some people reach on time for their evening commitments, they may leave as early as 3:30 or so, and the rest continue till the stipulated time. We will ensure the major events are winded up by 3:30 pm and the time beyond we keep for casual interaction. Suggestions?

those who want to leave early can leave around 3:30pm-to 4:00pm. Others can leave around 4:30Pm.

As we are ready with 80% of plan. Now, we need to look for Food options.
(We(Myself & Parents) always take food from home to Yelagiri. So, I've no idea about the food options there.)

As we(Bangalore - Chennai Team) planned to assemble near Priyadharshani Engg. College,

Is there any good hotels available for Breakfast near Priyadharshani Engg. College? or suggest some hotels near Vaniyambadi. so that we finish our Breakfast at Vaniyambadi and proceed towards Yelagiri.

Where can we have Lunch at Yelagiri?

Also guys Suggest some good Hotels to have Lunch at Yelagiri(Both Veg and Non-Veg).

Appu, there are no good hotels in Yelagiri nor in Vaniyambadi, so if you people can manage breakfast in Vaniyambadi, i suggest you go inside the town and find a hotel, you can ask any locals there for hotels.

In Yelagiri the hotels are worst(for veggies out there, it's a nightmare), can't find a good one to meet up and eat like we did in our Hosur meet, so you'd better drive off to Vellore and have good meals and then plan accordingly for returning.

Yes, we can go inside the town, but Vaniyambadi is a small town with heavy traffic. If you go there without any proper plan, then it will be a problem to get the parking space. so we need to know some hotel before going there

Driving to Vellore for Lunch is not a good Idea buddy. Because Vellore is around 100Km from Yelagiri, So going and coming back is not possible.

This is regarding lunch at Yelagiri. You realy don't have to drive all the way down just for lunch. Hotel Landmark provides decent buffet at 250(veg)/350(non-veg). You may not face parking issue there as well. I have gone to Yelagir with my family for a day trip and an auto guy suggested this hotel. If the number is close to 15, I would recommend to book the lunch in advance. If somone of you going to bring your kid, they would love to play in thier garden too.

As toyoubala suggests, we shall have lunch at some resorts as lunch there. We had stayed in O'nilla who had provides us breakfast, lunch and dinner as buffet. I do not know the cost. [@toyoubala, you kido is cute and hope would have had great time there]

No point in coming down just for lunch. We may not get so good one but we can surely manage with this kind of buffet. Dont even think of small time hotels which are one day affair there.

As we are more in numbers we can even order in some good hotel in vellore and take it. But you might need to work on this and help us [pls don't give trouble to your family as you did last time]

Sethu Sir: Last time the meet happened in Vellore, so we got enough time to prepare the Lunch. But, this time we are starting early, so we have no time to prepare the Lunch and the Lunch itself won't be hot when we are having it

Regarding Breakfast, I too have no idea about the hotels there at Vaniyambadi.

Will wait for some suggestions.otherwise, As like Sethu sir mentioned, B'lore team can finish their Breakfast at Krishnagiri and Chennai team at Vellore

Guys,

Just had a word with Landmark hotel@Yelagiri which our Toyobala mentioned.

They are saying that the Buffet cost is Rs.300/head. which includes some Veg dishes and one Non-Veg dish.

As the resort is already booked for some conferences, we are not able to spend the full day there. But we can have the Lunch there.

We need to reserve for Buffet before Friday by paying some amount.

Anyhow, I'll enquire some more resorts and let you know guys.

BTW, we need the head count to reserve for Lunch.

My work is getting finished by 26th in Kochi and planning to go to Bangalore on the same day. I need to stay in Bangalore if I have to attend the meet, but only worrying thing is I need to get ready early in the morning if I have to join Bangalore friends. Is there any idea to avoid that early morning thing

Distance between Hindupur to Blore is 100km. How much it will be from Blore to Yelagiri hills? If Blore guys are starting by 5.30am i can't meet them. Instead I am thinking to start one day before the meet i.e. on 27th and to stay night either at Hosur / Krishnagiri. Which one could be good n convenient for me, do suggest. Then I can meet Blore guys and can proceed with them. I am coming along with my friend and waiting for his confirmation.
