To pull the numbers, I think we need to keep this thread always on the top of New post area to grab the attention from now. So we need to keep this updating all the time till we achieve our goal. Spot on buddy. I may not be able to attend the meet, if it is happening this year. Our project is stuck with some fund issues due to which the commissioning has been postponed to 10Dec, so i wont get any leaves till that period.

, so now we need to freeze the dates I hope. Somehow it looks to me that we may be able to make it in Jan 2013 as after next 10 days 3 major festivals are lined up (Dussera, Diwali & Christmas) in next 3 months

I can't commit anything for now. I will follow the thread as usual I do and check the date and Place of the meet.

So, we are all set for the location now. Glad about that.
Now the head counts which happens to be the most uncertain part in meet ups.
I would say let us try to fix up a date first. Later we can plan ourselves and get a day or two off and make up for the meet. What say??
Its better to push it towards Jan. Two advantages, one would be we'll get enough time to plan for the meet. Second, Can be arranged smooth without any last minute hurry.

correct, more or less the venue looks to be fixed. We now need to freeze some dates in Jan'13 which more convenient of majority members. So I request each of the member who is posting here to tell us a convenient date also. So once date is also fixed, you can see real things coming out of members and I have witnessed this during bangalore-chennai meet that till last day members kept on confirming.
So, Sethu sir, where are you, we confirm a place/places, where to go, where to stay, how many days, what is the itinerary, distance from various points, the meet dates !!

This is the draft plan which i feel should be convenient. This is definitely not a one day thing. So we may need atleast 3 days. So our only option would be to club the plan with any weekends.
Everybody Should start some time Thursday evening soon say 3 PM?? All the pals from TN/KL/ and MH shall start at same time. (Pondi guys may have to start pretty soon to join us)
Chennai pals will stay in bangalore on Thursday night. The same applies to other state pals but they will be staying in different locations say pune pals will stay somewhere in Kolhapur.
Friday morning: we all should start from our respective places and plan to reach shimoga by 3 PM and not beyond that. We shall spend sometime there and shall call day off.
Saturday morning: we shall cover Thirthahalli, horanadu, sringeri and whatever possible we can and stay there.

My god I did not checked the thread for two hours and so many improvements. Great. I was checking till 4pm and I left office. Now it is 8.45 and I can see so many postings. Great friends.
Duration/period = Roughly 5 days.
1 + 1 day for travelling

5 days will be too much of asking our members. Three days max should be fine for most of us. Can we do it on Jan 25,26 and 27?
Jan 25 should be holiday for some of us, as 26 falls on Saturday.
