Sorry for :offtopic: but this will help
You can keep the cool sunflims with no issues across all cities the only other thing required is to host the ruling party flag also in your car, buy the top 2 party flags of southern state(s) and host it according to the ruling party / state and situation

remember to remove the flag during bad political situation such as cauvery issue
Very nice idea but dangerous we had once a journey to chennai airport in my dads friends car it had a political party flag and we were even not asked to pay toll fares[;)]

I don't know why you all are interested in cheapo films ? There are really good films which reduce UV rays by 65% or more with less darkness. It is UV which gives heat & not sunlight. In morning, sunlight has more infrared radiations & in afternoon, it is UV. Look for films which cut UV & not light.
For our Dzire, I have 70 VLT on side with more UV protection, looks just like tinted glass.
I feel primary purpose of suncontrol film is
• To avoid heat
• Privacy

What is the answer for privacy?

Looks like Hyderabad is gearing up now. Read an article in today's news paper stating ban on sunfilm is being enforced going forward and a special drive begins on the 25th of October.

Knowing Hyderabadi attitude wonder how long this will last.

I'm not ripping my sunfilm on any of my cars for a few days.

Re: Supreme Court’s Order – No Sunfilms Allowed from 4th May 2012

Normally we all talk about rules and brag on telling I still drive with Tints, it’s something for which you should be ashamed about and not something cool, it’s because you have a deferred a supreme court's order and you’re teaching something which is seriously wrong to the next generation

People who still drive with tints, never feel why others don't follow the rules because, when you people yourself don't follow the rules why crib about others, people who still roam with tints on the cars why do you insensible one’s get messed up when someone goes on a one way or do a rash drive, because you yourself have not followed the rule and what you are do right now is a contempt of the supreme court's order which is the most atrocious thing to do by being a legal citizen of India

I don’t understand why people who don't obey the law needs it when it comes to their personal wants

DONT FIGHT FOR JUSTICE WHEN YOU REALLY DON"T DESERVE IT

I did remove tints on all our cars before the deadline, it’s not that because it’s a rule imposed by the state but by the supreme authority of the country

Well know people pinpoint why not ask about it to a politician, very simple I belong to the civilized part of the lot and not interested about the other to whom its of no use explaining, I am one who believes clean you house first the nation would automatically get cleaned up one day

Being a TAI member my request to all is to remove your tints and respect the Supreme Court order; and if you are not interested in doing it, at least refrain yourself from bragging about you cool style of neglecting the Honorable supreme court's order
I agree to what you said 100%. But when usage/purchase/consumption of some thing is banned or termed as illegal, then I think so selling of that thing should also be termed as illegal or should be banned. Examples for such things are Alcohol in Gujarat, Cocaine, Heroine, Guthka in some states , arms and ammunitions. Where consumption or using these things are banned, selling these things are also banned.

But in the case sun films, the dedicated dealer of V-kool is still open at prabhadevi. Local accessories shops are still selling the sun films. So, then it is the failure of the govt/SC to apply the rule properly. Only the ones who are using are getting punished, and the ones who are selling are allowed to do so. So both can earn. Actually, not both 3 of them can earn.

Seller, Govt. and cops as well. [clap]

@Swift &furious, Dharmesh

May be it is little bit OT, I do not know, but Yes we have to obey to the rules of government and Honorable Supreme court here as the responsible Indian citizens. But there is some thing in India happens always in a democratic way.

If a rule is not logical you can always protest against government and in case of courts you file a petition and fight

If people do not follow by negligence of rules then it is not accepted, but people do not follow it because it does not have proper logic and it is not really useful for anybody and also harmful if we do not get protected with sun films from UV rays and heat. So rather than blaming people for that, I suggest that courts should do this with their orders

1. Ask all the vehicle manufacturers to strictly tint the glasses to the extent of protection from UV rays and reduce the heat. Ask them to replace the glasses of vehicles are already there on the roads with a nominal charges.

2. Ban selling films by dealers and should give direction that what they do with the existing films stock with them.

3. So film manufacturer can be spared here because apart from vehicles, the films are used in homes and offices and elsewhere for different purposes.

All the negligence and protest happens, when the given orders are very unclear !!

Hope everything is taken in a positive way and I am not at all trying to question the Court or Government decisions here.

Re: Supreme Court’s Order – No Sunfilms Allowed from 4th May 2012

In India, It is like "andho ke sheher mein kana Raja". They pass any law, any rule without even doing any prior research or even thinking that what we should do, so that law is being followed by everyone.

  1. Have they asked vendors to stop providing tints? NO.
  2. Have they asked car manufacturers to provide tinted glass? NO.
  3. Have they provided any provision to other local accessories shops, to sell the tinted glass as after market accessory? NO.

And in the end who is suffering is the common man, who have already put in his hard earned money into sun films to save his kids-wife from UV rays. [frustration]
