Gurrala, now you got a sim on the old phone, activate a 5 rupee internet pack and open your Microsoft account, sync your contacts, then open your Microsoft account in L620, sync it with your phone.

@Edios

I am fed up now !! I have deleted all my phone contacts from my phone and given the phone to my wife[frustration]. Before doing that I have saved a csv file on my laptop.

I tried to open microsoft account on my wave 525, damn browser was very slow, hence nothing was happening.(already it has eaten away Rs.50 from my wifes account and she was[anger])

Now what I did, opened my MS live account on laptop and imported that csv file, but all the contacts have come but it has only imported the names and if any email address only so it has not taken any phone numbers from csv file. So how to do sync in my microsoft account. Also when I open mobile there are option like import contacts from SIM, that I have already done and everything got in perfectly with numbers. But I am synchronising with microsoft account only names have come no numbers, ofcourse there are no numbers available on my account as I have explained it above that it is only searching for email addresses while importing into account. So tell me how to do sync with that csv file where phone numbers should be picked in to ms live account. Sorry for troubling you mate, this is the problem of using vintage models for long time and shifting to smart and complex world

Yeah Raja,

I think I will have to do that tomorrow as the total contacts left are 320, so it is highly impossible to type them all[cry]

I have noticed something with my new phone, it may be common for smart phones which is a new experience for me.

I have followed nokia suggestions to save the battery life and kept everything off. It was 43% battery just before I slept yesterday night and by morning total battery drained off and mobile switched off. Is this common or abnormal

Still trying on contacts issue and couldn't found a solution for it.

@Raja, I am very busy in office, so could not able to move out to a store with my laptop and fix the issue. Any suggestions are welcome, sorry if I am again going in circles[lol]

How to check the battery is full or not. I am just following a thing like when there is a plug symbol on battery means it is still charging and when this symbol disappear then it means battery is full. Is this correct

Basic rule for the new handset and after usage is first charge up complete with your handset switched off at night let the battery charge up fully, start using and then routines.
For drained out, check there might be some applications kept on by you while browsing thru the handset which might have drained out the battery.

Sethu,

Thank you, In simple words, Android is there in the market for some time and WP is fresh in the market. Android is for people who look for more applications and windows is for people who look for optimisation. Want to know more you can go through all the 64 pages of this thread as well there is a dedicated thread named "android vs windows".

Sorry even my knowledge on both is limited and trying to explore more[:)]

Buddy, WP is older than the android. I had a HTC Touch long before my Galaxy. It ran on Win 6.1. It's just Nokia is creating a buzz around windows with it's new launched Lumia series.

Regarding your battery issue, have you charged it fully after receiving it? If not please do so before using it. Battery draining from 43% to zero overnight is not a panic issue, as all lion batteries attain their full strengths after a few charge cycles. Do not charge your phone too frequently, let it discharge to around 20% remaining before charging again. Follow this for initial 10-20 cycles.

@FD

Thank for the suggestions. I have kept it on a battery saver mode as it will switch on to this mode when the battery is left with 20%. I am recharging it when it goes into such mode. Hope to get a good back after some cycles.

Windows platform may be old, I mean to say with WP8 nokia is fresh now like jelly bean in android
