@Indian
I have a MS account, but rather than doing like that(giving access to web for my contacts) I would like to do it in other traditional ways, sorry I may look like bit conservative(due to the non exposure for a true smart phone so far)

I allways do this . And once all his contacts are synced he can change as many phones he wants just when signs in his windows live I'd all his contacts will get synced by default .
@RK, when you have a nice smart phone start using it to the full extend. Now syncing the contacts is the first thing anyone should do before even start using your phone. There are lots of advantages here.
* You contacts always backed up.
* Even if you don't have access to your phone still you can access contact details
* You can manage your contact details properly since you can access them from your web account. Its easy to manage things on computer than on the phone.
* You can add lots of info like, birthdays, anniversaries, company info etc easily from web(you can do this from phone too but UI will not be user friendly)
* Birthdays and anniversary etc get synced to your calendar in your web account, by syncing your calendar also to your phone gets these events to your phone too.
* Your appointments add it from your computer and will be available on your phone.
There is a huge potential here. Try it, it does not take too much of data too. If you want keep it in manual sync for sync once a day. But dont skip it.
