Re: Sporty Yet Elegant: My Candy White Volkswagen Polo TDI

Alright. I guess both solve the purpose anyways.
By any chance can the existing owners get that MDI port fitted inside the dash ?
It was the first thing I asked when I saw the new polo in showroom. The agent said that the complete wiring is different from old polos so its not possible and he started me to give other options like touchscreen devices and blah blah.

Still, I am thinking about giving a visit again and see if its possible.

Congrats sanke1 for your new Polo. The smoked headlamps and the new set of alloy wheels give the Polo a more sporty and meaner look. I'm glad the Polo family on TAI is expanding really fast. GTI tail lights would look stunning on your machine. So have you ordered for them already?
Yes

Hey bbmurthy, since you have highline model, there is a MDI port inside glove box which you must be aware. Through this port you can play via your mobile by plugging a aux to MDI cable, and I am sure the sound quality will be great.

See this thread for various options through this MDI port: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...volkswagen-polo-1-2-2012-refresh-model-5.html
saw this thread already some time back and expressed my happiness too..[:)]...but everytime keep changing between USB and aux-in is pretty boring job..[;)]..any cable which will have MDI on one side and USB+AUX-IN on another side ( like multipoint charger)???

Congrats bbmurthy for the beauty. You pics, reminded me of the day when I got my red polo.
Those new alloys and blackened headlamps make the look even more aggressive.

Such a cable should exist because it makes sense. Tried to do a quick search but couldn't find one, but I am sure there must be some solution to the switching process.

yeah. letz hope we find such a cable.

one more thing. Whenever i roll down and roll up the side windows, i am finding a layer of dust attached on the windows. Is it common in all the cars or mine is having lots of dust in the window grooves?[confused]

Happens with me too. Best is to keep the window grooves clean and avoid rolling windows up and down too often.

Wow bbmurthy301. Your Polo looks gorgeous in those pics. Even today, the moment i see a Red Polo on road or even in pics, my heart skips a beat in admiration. Still regret not getting the red one myself.[cry] But anyways, congrats on your beauty. Drive it safe!

Even in my car, whenever after a wash, you roll down the windows and then roll them up, all the water stuck in the door panel or the rubber beading makes it dirty again. I don't know if the gap is much that allows dust and water to crawl inside.

Any polo maintained well looks gorgeous. Yes polo in red looks beautiful and I think vw has got the 'right red' with polo coz other cars in red just look too loud or itch the eyes. What say?

Yes white also looks really classy and sophisticated, but Red I don't know for what reason has a different charm all together. I've already decided my next car would be either in Red or Black.[:)]

Yes for most cars the Red really doesn't suit. And some manufacturers end up giving very unpleasing red shades to their cars. For example, i simply hate the bright red color which Hyundai provides in i10 and the earlier Verna. Tata's red shade in Indigo CS looks really unpleasing. The red in Fabia might be the same as in Polo, but doesn't suit the car as much as it does the Polo.

For me only two cars stand out in Red - Polo and Punto. The shade actually suits the two of them. I agree with you Rightnow, VW has got absolutely right with the Polo's red. It looks royal as well sporty at the same time and very pleasing on the eyes too.

I see a red punto quite often while going to office, but I must say that it doesn't look pleasing to eye. Even though its well maintained, it seems too much of red on punto.
By the way I just saw a skoda rapid in red- it looks too sexily classily sporty!!

I only like the red shade of VW that too on Polo only, red Vento is not a stunner IMO I didn't like this color on them.

Haha ok. Personal choices i guess. I generally don't like Red in sedans or SUV's. The color suits more to the hatch design. Haven't seen a Red Rapid in person so can't really say.

Yes the same shade in Vento doesn't look great.:agree: Vento has a more understated classy look and shades like white and silver go very well with it. I like the shadowfox blue too. Any chance VW will be providing that shade in Polo in the future?
