It is expected that Skoda Rapid will come with some advanced safety features like ABS, EBD, Airbags, central locking, pretension, etc. Well this time I am unable to collect more information about the features, it will be disclosed at time of its launching.

Skoda Rapid is also expected to have some interior features like dual tone upholstery, centralized console, audio system, tilt steering, spacious legroom and headroom etc.

SVP of Car and Bike Show has confirmed that Rapid will come with 1.6 MPI Engine: 105 BHP, 153 NM Torque and 1.6 TDI: 105 BHP, 250 NM Torque. Petrol will have an option of M/T as well as A/T.

I would still prefer VW Vento coz at the end of the day VW is VW while Skoda is JUST Skoda. Also, Rapid doesn't has its own identity, does it ??
Rapid looks like a cheap design where corners have been cut to save costs. I feel Sunny Diesel will be better option than Rapid, if one doesn't want to spend amount that of Vento & not to forget that Sunny is fresh design from all angles.

Skoda can get a good market share only if they improve their After Sales Service..There are many competitors like Maruti SX4 ,Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta Sedan etc in the same price bracket ..They can cope up with the competition only if they improve their After Sales Service !

It's because I pointed the mouse at headlamp. You can just hover anywhere over the image to take a sneak peek at complete car.

Rapid should be positioned atleast 50k below Vento. That wil make it a good buy..
I still hate Skoda for what they did to Octavia. They just stopped it..
P.S. Am always on the look out for a used Skoda Octavia Tdi :-!

Refer to Post #139 for pricing. We will bring all the action tomorrow from the launch. BTW, Skoda India will organize Rapid Drive Experience in Mumbai on 20th November 2011 from 10AM to 10PM at Inorbit Mall, Malad. Just register with Skoda Mumbai Dealership to attend the event. It will also include other entertainment activities such as indoor games, tattoos for kids, jugglers tarot card reader etc. All visitors will be given away Skoda India Merchandise as well.
