Re: The BIG Debate: Sedans v/s SUVs
Few days ago during morning walk, I saw two SUVs.
One was a Safari which was coming very fast opposite to me through the beach road. Saw it from a distance and was ready to jumb towards the right - but to my surprise he gave me more than enough space - and that was visible for me from a distance.
Then the Safari went through two speed breakers without any gear change or speed reduction. There was no change in the road roar also.
Second one was a Fortuner at the same point point while returning.
Fortuner too was coming very fast. The awe it creates and the bouncy ride visible to us from a distance made me to move towards my right max possible to the edge of the road. This guy was different and did not bother about small mortals on road and was speeding past dangerously close even though there was enough space on the other side.
The Fortuner also went through the speed breakers with out changing gears or reducing speed but with a big thud sound and a bounce.
So it depends on the person who is driving and not on the vehicle whether they are gentle or goon.
Second thing was the way those SUVs negotiated the speed brakers. Even though it was a pair of small speed breakers at a distance of 10 mts, sedans has to slow down (by the way speed brakers are meant to slow down). How ever this demonstrates the capability of SUVs to tackle our bad roads and no roads (or so called highways).
