An update on FE.
While taking delivery, I was told the tank was filled by 1 liter of petrol from their manufacturing plant. After that, since it is thunderbird, they said they are pouring another 3 liters as per the instruction they had (For other bikes it is just two instead of four liter total).
But even though I could not meassure it, the can looked like 2 liter one. So the total petrol at the time of delivery was 3 liters. After crossing 1 km, I went and filled another 6.05 liters (for 500 Rs) from an Indian oil (company maintaining)pterol bunk. So all together My bike has started with 9 Liters.
As per them, the new thunderbird should give around 45kmpl which is too optimistic but I was expecting somewhere around 40 kmpl. For my surprise, today I have crossed 204km and still it is running in Main. They said the reserve tank have 4 liters capacity. So, I have still to go for finishing balance 5 liter available in main tank. Approximate mileage as of now is 204/5 = 40.2 kmpl.
Or worst case, If they had put 4 liters at the time of delivery, still the maileage is 204/6 = 34 and still counting. But I am sure they had put just two liter only at the time of delivery and 1 from their plant too so total was 3 litres only.
However I am happy with its FE because my 7 year old Pulsar150 used to give me between 45-48 kmpl. But the comfort is far better in thunderbird when compare with pulsar. Infact, we should not compare these two as they are from two different segment.
