Thanks to both of you.
yes, Its me on my first ride.
I think this thread as such as an ownership thread. Do you guys think I should start other thread?
mod's are free to change the title or move the thread to some other category.

I will try to update this as my ownership progresses. Thanks to one and all for your suggestions which helped me to become a proud owner of TB.

An update on FE.
While taking delivery, I was told the tank was filled by 1 liter of petrol from their manufacturing plant. After that, since it is thunderbird, they said they are pouring another 3 liters as per the instruction they had (For other bikes it is just two instead of four liter total).
But even though I could not meassure it, the can looked like 2 liter one. So the total petrol at the time of delivery was 3 liters. After crossing 1 km, I went and filled another 6.05 liters (for 500 Rs) from an Indian oil (company maintaining)pterol bunk. So all together My bike has started with 9 Liters.
As per them, the new thunderbird should give around 45kmpl which is too optimistic but I was expecting somewhere around 40 kmpl. For my surprise, today I have crossed 204km and still it is running in Main. They said the reserve tank have 4 liters capacity. So, I have still to go for finishing balance 5 liter available in main tank. Approximate mileage as of now is 204/5 = 40.2 kmpl. [clap]
Or worst case, If they had put 4 liters at the time of delivery, still the maileage is 204/6 = 34 and still counting. But I am sure they had put just two liter only at the time of delivery and 1 from their plant too so total was 3 litres only.
However I am happy with its FE because my 7 year old Pulsar150 used to give me between 45-48 kmpl. But the comfort is far better in thunderbird when compare with pulsar. Infact, we should not compare these two as they are from two different segment.

That's a wonderful FE figures[clap], how much is the engine oil capacity and what is the grade?
the engine oil capacity for UCE engine is 2.3 to 2.4 ltrs which is somewhat less than what Cast Irons consume (CIs drink about 2.7ltrs). The Grade would be 15W 50 fully synthetic or semi synthetic.

While, explaining the features, SA told me that though its capacity is 2.75Ltr only 2.4 ltr oil is enough at the time of Service/refill. The grade of oil is same as mentioned above.

I am much confused now... My bike still running in main. Crossed 256Kms and still running in mains. To conform whether it is in Mains/reserve, I went to showroom back and checked with them. Yeah it is in Main still!!

Mileage as of now seems to be 256/6 = 44 kmpl (still counting). However, I will check again next reserve-reserve method and will update.

Since this mileage is just after you bought the bike it will give more or less than what the manufacturer has mentioned. You need to check the actual mileage after the first service so right now it will keep differing a lot. The maximum mileage you can get is 45KMPL or in exceptional cases 50kmpl

Congratulations [clap]. They say the 'Reserve' is 4Ltr

Did you get the fancy number for 3K? What fancy it is? Is it just the Odd number (7,9) or something like 2255 [:)]
When I asked during my car registration, they were asking 6K for odd number (1,3,5,7,9) and 30-60K for the number we like. If I get the number which I like for 3K, can very well go for it. Not worried about odd/even etc.

I booked Thunderbird 350 on Last Saturday (9th March). Waiting Period is 8-10 Months. Heard that if you have some letter from ministers or influential persons, we get it on a priority. They will send the letter to Chennai. Once they approve it, we will get accordingly.

Has anyone tried 'this method of influence' ? I booked in BSK 2nd Stage HSR Service showroom.

Regards
