Hi Gns

1) Firstly I would strongly reccomend you to come out with the name of the dealer on this forum - we all are friends on this forum and it might cetainly help somebody to avoid such a uselss dealer in your city

2) Secondly are you really thinking that you are getting the bike early - Infact in my opinion you have already wasted 7-8 months in the overall process which would have been in any case the waiting period in normal case - Please correct me if i am wrong?

3) If you have finalised finally to take the Bike as the best option, please be ware of the delaership & its services in the future - I mean i might be exaggerating, but you never know how these guys would treat you with the sales & after sales service in the future, when you already had some heated arguments with the manager
Thanks Mr. Ankush Gokhale for your support.

1. As I have mentioned in my previous post, I will post the details about the dealer in case of repeated mishaps later.
2. If the information is right, people booked thunderbird on 2012 early April are being delivered with their vehicles. Again it depends on their colour preference. There is scarcity of "Twilight" colored bike if they are according to the information passed to me. I have booked my bike in May 2012 and it was Black which later changed to twilight.
3. I am going to have a thorough PDI before sending vehicle for registration. Though we had heated arguments, he (Manager) seems to be a cool guy and took initiative to block one bike as he agreed. Yes, it was supposed to deliver on 10th but I wasn't in Bangalore that time due to some outstation duties assigned to me.

So... Thats it. Made the payment via DD and had a look at the Bike. Since they need aaproval from their finance department, official PDI is scheduled to wednesday. though it can happen on tuesday, we postponed it as I am on the way to Kerala now and will come back on tuesday only.
The OTR price cost me 146584. Have to pay another 950 for Crash guard, 350 for Tufflon coating, and 3000 if opting fancy number. Yes, I preffer to have the same number alloted to my friend mentioned in previous post.
Will update later by taking delivery with pictures....

And, the hard,
I had to postpone purchase of Brio/Amaze atleast for another two year. That was the commitment to my family (mom and wifey). Need What you guys think? Was it a good decision to purchase TB on cost of Honda car? Anyway I can't help now. Just a human thought, feeling doubts on a decision when it is impossible to withdraw.(badly need smiley. But couldn't find one in my mobile screen)

don't worry buddy. You always can buy it later. And who knows, after about 2 years, there might be better products on sale! So chill, think positive! [:)]

I am scared.. these strikes can further delay delivery of my Dream[frustration]
I had a look at my mate few hours back. Got Engine number and chassis number from the dealer. Bike is all ready for delivery but registration is pending due to strike.
No idea if I can take him home on this Friday as the dealer got more than 50 bikes to deliver in few days. If not Friday, it might further go few das because of my official trip to Kerala on coming Monday. [frustration]
My Boss want to me to accompany him on the way through Mysore - Koorg - Mangalore on his car. I love driving car on that road but not this time.
Let me see, If delivery is not possible on Friday, I have to find out some plans to escape and prolong this trip at least for a week.

By the way, the very first pic of the beast in flesh out from dreams. (Excuse for the poor quality of pic. The showroom was filled with more than 50 bullets. I had to jump over other bikes to reach and experience my dream in flesh).

@Gns

Congrats man, finally you are able to see your long pending dream bike, it looks really awesome buddy[:)]
Thanks mate. Yeah it was pending for last 7 months.

thats sad to hear. I am waiting to see the bike's pic in full flesh!
this teaser pic won't do after getting it.
Sure, will post more clear pic soon after delivery[thumbswink]

Congrat's man, the silencer looks different than the old Thunderbird.
Thanks Visran. Yeah the silencer is different because of latest pollution requirement. The "thumph" has slightly changed now because of statutory requirement to reduce sound pollution[frustration]

The dealer was saying me to be careful at least for another three months because the crash-guard wont be available till such time to protect my legs. They says, RE is yet to manufacture crash-guards for newly designed thunderbirds. The old one comes with classic/electra/old thunderbird will not go with this as RE had lowered the chassis slightly on new TB350.

Please post if you have any information about availability of crash-guard in Bangalore/Kochi.

The OTR Price was 146584/- in Bangalore.
They says, though company claim above 45 kmpl, practically it returns around to 40 kmpl FE. I will update the details as my ownership progresses.
Regarding maintenance, I have no idea but my friend who took an electra 3 months back says the maintenance is not that costlier. But I have seen articles where people mentioning that they have changed chain-spocket after two years. Other than that, I haven't seen many and I don't expect much or else I don't want much[roll]

Thank you Mr. Adithya,
I already have a written commitment from him. I got the booking form corrected by the manager specifying "the vehicle will be delivered on first/second weak of February 2013". Apart from that, since my office is close to their showroom I have easy access to him and do follow up continuously to keep them on nail.

And for your information, I am getting this bike bit early due to that incident/mistake happened from their end. People booked TB along with me are still in waiting and I saw many of them coming to showroom to enquire about status of their booking. At least I am a bit lucky in that way isn't it?[embarass]
Ohh Thats great news...keep thumbing once you got the TBTS[clap]

As I afraid, registration postponed to Monday. [anger]
Probably I can take it home on Tuesday only. It is too difficult to push these last minutes towards delivery.

Finally, I took delivery of my TB after 8 months long waiting. Though I came through mixed feeling during waiting period, I am much happy now with my bike. The happiest moment I want to cherish whole life.

I have a feeling that I should change the title of this thread. Mod's please do the appropriate change to the title if necessary.

Should I re-size the pictures to upload here? I tried to upload few pictures but may be because of huge (4 to 6mb/pic) size, it wasn't successful.
