That is the original Mark II beeding which comes with the aluminium show beeding. nowadays very few people only know how to fix this show beeding the rubber glass beeding. it will enhance the beauty to dark colour painted ambys

Hi HKS2412,

great dude, the progress of the work is consistent i think, for sure your amby will be one of the best body rebuilt ambys, i believe.

BTW what about the mechanial modification plans in the pipeline.

if you are going for power steering modification, better procure the power steering box first and the mounting has to be altered as per that and make sure there is enough gap between the bell housing and the steering box.

my suggestion is, go for used (can buy from old market) honda city power steering, and the pump can be of any choice.

as i have seen the picture of your car, i believe the radiator is bit small and i dont see any A/c condensor there.

so if you have any plans of upgrading the radiator and fitting a condensor cooling fan in front, please carefully calculate the mesurements and clearances before final fittings. it will save you lot of money and time.

BTW can you please tell me the exact location of the workshop in bangalore, it will be helpful for one more person who has brought his car from bangalore to coimbatore for rework.

one more suggestion dude, as i have heard that central lock system doesn't work properly in ambassador doors. when i checked with koyas, they said it is a waste of money and they themself has deactivated most of the remote locks installed in ambys from koyas. kindly think about it.

hi ambyson,
thank you for the appreciation, well at this point of time the mechanical changes that I have planned is:
1. first priority is to convert the steering box from single column(old) to collapsible/ dual column (nova) and steering box bed alterations as for now budget is limited so i can change it later to PS with limited modifications

2. change the suspension components to suit metal bush type for longer life and better performance than normal rubber bush and installing stabilizer bar which connects to both suspension lower arm and is integrated with chassis for better stability(new model amby's have this feature)

and as you mentioned in your post abt the radiator, but it is the radiator shield i,e narrow but the radiator installed is bigger(latest) which was installed in CAG Coimbatore and i am changing the shield to accommodate grand grill and grand bumper so in future i can install a/c without much trouble

overall my plan is to get all necessary alterations done now itself in the tinkering stage so that parts can be added in future without any hassles.

The garage is located in Chickballapur, 40kms from Bangalore (Bangalore- Hyderabad road NH7)
