it has been 6 years since i've seen a Indica in real. This looks like a revised version of Indica with lots of good things.

@drivetech4, good to know that you are enjoying a troublefree experience with your Vista. Your daughter looks really cute. Wishing you many more happy miles with your Vista [drive]
Thanks Carfreak

Well codename, Vista does not have a single thing common with Indica, except the name badge, which i got rid off- see image below. Its the new platform Tata launched in 2008, got it refined over period and proved to be one of the best hatches available in India, Manza is the sedan built on same platform.

Nice pictures and a good idea to remove the Indica badge too. Vista is definitely much superior than the earlier generation Indica.

Hi Everyone

I own a Tata Vista VX (purchased on 09/09/11). Absolutely love the space it offers for the family of 4 + 1 Kid. Hands down the engine is good in terms of decent torque and driveability in both city and expressway conditions. Excellent mileage ( I have been seeing almost 20kmpl highway driving).

Though, I have been experiencing lot of issues (may be this is what they call "Tata Car's Niggling issues !!??") ever since the 1st week of ownership. Not sure if this is the right thread to discuss about the issues. Since am new to the forum may be some one can redirect me another thread if this is not the place.

Thanks

Hi Gokul welcome TAI

Congratulation on your Buy! Its sad that you are experiencing issues with new car, I guess all of them must be superficial. Though good thing is you are satisfied with ride quality, driveability and FE.
Well better you start a new thread regarding your ownership experience and post the issues there, members here will help you advice on the same.[thumbsup]

[thumbsup] Thanks and it makes sense to put it as a separate thread. I have created a thread called "Tata Vista VX 2011 - Ownership issues" and posted my issues there.

Update on my thread - A moderator has moved my thread to "Technical Zone" from "Ownership reviews"
Since you have mentioned the thread as issues and not as ownership review it is quite natural that the thread has been moved to technical zone.

No worries will check the thread![thumbsup]

IMO TATA is very serious about the name INDICA it’s referring to the INDIan CAr.
And though many people voiced that car’s name only VISTA would have created different story altogether.

I always make amendment whenever some says they shouldn’t have use the name INDICA

Man it is The INDIAN CAR Vista [thumbsup]

Yesterday a lady who was driving Honda Civic, tried to overtook from left side on a curve in a heavy traffic and she kissed the bumper of my Vista, even though there was a traffic warden who was instructing her that she is going to scratch, she did not listen and moved on.I was just looking with mouth open wide. The entire rear door of Civic was scratching the bumper, while she was passing and I was stand still there as there was another lady standing in-front of me on her scooty. I was helpless, though I managed to move from there and catch her, stopped her roadside, but she was blaming me that I damaged her car.

I was so angry, but couldn't help myself as she was a lady driver, if there would have been any guy I would have slapped him right away. It literally gave me heart ache to see the scars on bumper, though the damage is not that much, thanks to the Good quality Bumper by TATA, but the damage to Civic was much much more, and the entire door needs to be painted.

Only because of one stupid lady driver two beautiful cars got damaged. And I got heart ache because of two Idiot ladies one the girl on scooty and other!

Sorry for the language I used but you can understand my frustration. Will post the image of damage soon.

Drivetech4,
Never follow any car who had any kind of collision no matter small or big. This might result in rage or fight and you are never sure or mind of set of another person behind the wheel.
Accept the hard fact that, bumpers are going to get scratches. Its not about ur driving style.

DO YOU THINK ITS WORTH DYING FOR A SCRATCH ON YOUR CAR.
Never indulge with anybody. Even its someone's mistake.
Safe driving and never get into rage. Make it a [rules]

Well Brandoo, I did not do any special attempts for that, as I mentioned it was heavy traffic and there was no chance to speed up! Yes I agree that the Scratch is not worth dying, but you just cant let anyone to come and scratch your car! Without any fault!
