Were the driver and passengers in the Omni safe?

One person(i guess to be the driver) was dead and the other peson sustained fracture of both legs.

My friend had an accident around 6 months ago in his Vista with an i10. It happened in the early morning and was a head on head collision. The i10 came overtaking a tanker from a turning and must have dozed off. There was no place for my friend to give way as all the buses were parked on road side at that time.
BTW, this is the same Vista which is my Avatar.

What one can do in such cases to prevent head on head collision. Feeling bad about vista.

It must have been a serious accident. The i10 appears to be most affected.

My friend and three others were injured in Vista. He had broken ribs, wrist bone and bruises on the forehead. Unluckily, on that particular day, he didnt wear the seat belt. The condition of one person was very serious as he had blood clot in his head. All have recovered now. My friend started driving also.
The guy in i10 had worn seat belt. So he had broken leg only. He also has recovered now.

Btw what about your friends Vista. Has she recovered or still getting treatment(repairs).

This accident happened in Kannur, Kerala. It happened at early morning 3:30. The driver hit a divider and lost control and finally hit into a shopping complex.

Luckily, it was an empty tank and the driver and cleaner are unhurt.

ohh....they are very lucky that it was empty else a disaster could have happened!

Btw what about your friends Vista. Has she recovered or still getting treatment(repairs).

First they said the repair charges will go more than the price of the car. So its gonna be a Total Loss and we'll get the money. Right now they are saying that we'll get the car after repairs.

any idea how much is the repair charge and how much is payable by the insurance company.

I think it depend on part
Nothing on bearing items and other normal wear and tear part.
full amount for glass and other spares like head. radiators , compressor .

Half of the amount for plastic part lke bumpers head lamp etc

I though the same way , but its full for glass .

A almost scratched glass was broken by us and insurance claimed for new glass. Did this last week for my relative's car - national insurance


Contrary my uncle who ran a taxi business for almost 15 years and stopped some 7 years back. He says there will no compensation for glass

Its full for metal parts and half for fiber parts. These values also depend upon the depreciation value of the car also.
