Power train is expected to be the same as currently used. Expect Dual Air bags and ABS to be standard. Crash test certified to the upcoming safety norms.

Launch is rumored to be as early as April and not later than October 2017.

Omg! No words ! outright ugly ! May be the color , steel wheels i dont know!

I guess its made for & in India just like Brezza and not based on new swift !
some cues from Aspire ,Baleno,Ciaz & Curent dzire can be seen!

I doubt its based on baleno platform ! feels like locally developed on the current gen one.

Am I the only who feel front headlights resembles Datsun Go headlights?

Guys, you are probably looking at the mule. Thats what they call a car that being used for testing. Its never meant to look nice

By the time this car comes into the market, MS will have decked up the looks. MS cant afford to alienate the large Dzire owners market. They cant afford to bring out a car that looks bad.

I have no news on the release date and I am not really following the car market since I am already dealing with owning the Baleno. But one thing I feel is that both the Swift and Dzire will come out for the festive season. If not, MS wouldnt have started offering the options versions of the current cars (options versions have the airbags and ABS facctory fitted). Like the BSIII / BSIV issue, manufacturers often delay products till legislation demands it. So MS will delay the cars till the Bharat NCAP crash testing clauses become clear so that they dont have to make changes a few months after they release the model

Looking at Dzire generation, it has become uglier as generation passes.

Plus I disagree with you, then can easily afford an ugly looking Dzire, coz people will still buy it thanks to 'herds mentality'.

I personally never trust Maruti Build Quality.
