2017 SWIFT Launched in Japan.

To be launched in Europe in March and India launch expected in October 2017.

I love the refreshed interior and new steering wheel. Like many mentioned exterior design is similar to many cars but I find it perfect for swift. I didn't like the current gen design as it was too old. it was like how tata stuck to indica design for a long time (from V2 to Bolt).

I wish they bring the Dualjet engine, SVHS and the 1.0L Boosterjet engine to India. If Maruti use Boosterjet engine to Swift, Baleno and Brezza, then the demand will be so high that local production of engine will be a viable option thereby reducing the overall price.

New Generation Swift to debut in 2017 Festive season in India.

Likely to get the following engines.

1. Existing Petrol and Diesel engines tuned differently with a bit more power.

2. 1.0 L boosterjet Engine and will debut as the RS variant.

3. Swift Sport with ~ 145 HP with the 1.4L boosterjet will be showcased in 2018 Auto Expo and will go on sale early 2018.

I love the one with hexagonal grill while don't like the model with linear grill.It's funny how a simple change in the design of the grill completely changes the appeal .

Black and Red would be my choice.

P.S. To everyone ,which one would you prefer in term of design, Baleno or this. I would prefer Baleno for its side and rear profile.

I think in India, we will get completely stripped off version. The one devoid of all those safety features as shown in the video above and probably an AMT for Diesel variants. I wish Maruti launches 1.4 boosterjet with both automatic and manual variants. A good 6 speed automatic will be a boon in the city traffic.

Suzuki 2017 Swift is with 6AT configuration in the 1.0L boosterjet variant.

2017 Swift Sport will only be in a MT variant.

Changes in design are tasteful, they look more classy now. And, as it has been reported, wheelbase is increased, I hope rear leg room has also been enhanced. If prices are kept well below Baleno, it is going to hit Baleno sales.

That's great news VM2011, thanks for the information, I thought it would come with manual only variant like Baleno. Is it a 6-Speed DCT or AMT or Torque converter ?
