Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Launched

This seems to be a common practice among Auto dealers to reach their targets. Last Year when I had booked a Celerio ZXI AMT(Optional) with one the leading Maruti vendors in Bengaluru- which was at that time a car with limited production, I was told that the car is in transit and to make full payment and only then will they allot the car to me and share the VIN. I went up to the Sales head and he also said the same and said if not me there were others waiting in the Q to buy the car which cheesed me off, I immediately cancelled my booking and asked him to sell the car to whoever would buy it. I went and booked in another dealer and things went smoothly and I only released the entire amount post a PDI. This is a normal modus operandi to meet targets. Guess that they are Maruti dealers and their cars are in demand goes to the head of their sales staff.

I know that its a common issue but I can't let them go easily with it.

They are no one to waste my time and easily sell the car to someone else who is another idiot ready to give the payment before even checking the car (no offense though).

It's easy for these dealers to play with an innocent customer but that's not justified.

Re: Next Generation Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Launched

A quick update
Today was the plan for the PDI.
Now when I had a talk with GM of the showroom, she is saying that the car is in transit and I can't do a PDI of the car.

And now she is saying that I need to do the full payment or the car will be offered to the next person.

This car is really making me annoyed as heck.

I think I am being framed here.
I told you earlier too, change your dealer. As a principle they would only cut Rs. 250 on cancelling the booking at most. From day 1 you are being made a fool by the dealer[anger]

Tried to convince her but she is saying that the car was alloted to you on 24th and within 5 days I have to do the payment, is it a rule or something when I have not even checked the car?
How come these bloody agents can have their own rules? Ask her if MSIL has officially made any such rule.

I know, I had a talk with the chairman also but he is trying to say the same thing.

I can take it to maruti now but I know it will not result in anything, even if I drop an official mail then also I will be getting an automated reply.
I don't know how has MSIL employed such idiotic retards in their dealer network. Ask that Chairman or whatever, Will he buy any product without checking it? In today's time, nothing can be bought without practically seeing it.

Man I am having a loan from past 1 month, now I need to ask them for the dd, which I can't as the bank will be closing soon(though I will do it tomorrow morning)

Car has still not come at the stockyard it's in transit. It will be there tomorrow evening (not convinced for that too) and they are saying only dealer PDI will be done and I can't even check it before delivery and before the full payment. Not seen that too anywhere.

Also PDI and delivery can't be done on the same day as the registration process would be pending and without it the car is useless.
Without PDI how can they proceed for Registration in the first place? Get rid of these thieves.

I think they are already trying to find another customer as I have clearly told them I am not going to give a single penny before the PDI.

They are saying that dd clearance also takes time (upto 2 days) so I need to do the payment Tomorrow immediately.

I don't think that they will be getting the car Tomorrow also.
I would have accompanied you for this and sorted the matter if did not have a trip to Mumbai.

I am definately sure that there is a big issue in the car as they were saying only dealer PDI will happen. When I tried to push her, she constantly asked me that who is going to do the PDI? to which I told her that someone is going to do it she doesn't need to worry about that.

They will constantly try to delay the PDI.

Even if I pay them the down-payment amount they will try to milk all the money from me.
Tell her that a much more educated person than her is going to do it. I honestly wanted to meet this AGM who doesn't have any professional ethics. Pushing customers for payment is the age old habit of the sales people. You take a stand on your point and don't pay them a penny till you see the car.

As simple as that, F*** the dealer and F*** buying the car from such morons.

I am sorry for replying late as I was getting my car repaired since morning today.

That day only I told them that I want to change my dealer and shift the booking to some other dealer. The chairman clearly told me that it's not possible and they will sort it out. After that I hung up the call due to my anger.

Next day I don't know what happened but the SA came to my house and requested to wait a bit more(I didn't discuss it here because I was not convinced at all).
Next day I went to Anand vihar and checked some showrooms which some of my friends told me were good(they had a positive experience there)

I was not at all convinced there also as they tried to butter me a lot(same thing happened here) so I came back home.

Then I got busy in some of my office work and ignored this thing.

Then they called me and gave me the information and the VIN, thats when I told you guys.

BTW what is the procedure of changing the dealer as they are saying that anything like that doesn't exist?

He was acting clever. One can surely transfer the booking from one dealer of a brand to another dealer of same brand. If a particular dealer doesn't have a desired variant it also arranges the same through another dealer of that brand and delivers to customer.

That was all a cover up as to retain you.

That's because they might have been told to do as many sales as possible due to the upcoming GST.

They are simply goofing around. You can apply for refund and book the car from other dealer. As a principle they will have to honor your refund. Also, if possible then Visit MSIL office in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi with a drafted letter / copy of refund application and meet their Sales Head. If the dealer doesn't honor your refund request, straight away head to the MSIL office, with dealer's details and the names of all executives you have interacted with and share your experience with the MSIL Officials there. You have to do this all in person and don't just rely on the social media like Twitter and Facebook.

Man social media has lot of power in it but for it I need a huge audience.

Though they will be giving away the refund obviously.

Now if I book a car now then I will be getting it around Diwali time. So let's wait for this GST to come and after it's settled I will be doing my booking.

Now I am thinking to do a bit more research with the dealers but have lost my trust with these 2 back to back issues.

I am thinking which dealers to consider on top, as this forum is quite huge, I can get a lot of experience.

BTW now my first priority is vipul motors, what do you think.

Extremely disappointing scenario here. Maruti should take action on them. Vipul motors have 3 showrooms in jaipur as well and here their showroom experience and ASS are very good.

I don't think transfer of booking is possible. You can cancel one and apply again with other dealer.
It's disheartening to know that this case is handled so badly by dealer.

I will update you guys on something late night

Update

Today I went to do vipul motors.

Had a hilarious experience there, the SA told me that there is nothing like CUSTOMER PDI

And to know this she need to ask his senior. Thought like its a cycle going on at all the dealers.

Don't say PDI, ask them to show car at stock yard. You can do anything before invoicing the car on your name , after that last chance is signing on form no.20. Newly realised, they play games. Stick to your stand.

My 2 cents —
If you are really in hurry for a car then proceed or else why don’t you postpone for some time.
Looks like your stars are not in good mood to support you at this point of time.
