well said, I would pick Nano on any given day rather than spending money on this ugly frog.

Looking at the earlier photographs of the disguised test mule, for once, I thought that it might be a smaller hatchback from Ford since the front end was too similar to Figo. Now that the clear images are out, that too with proper badging, it’s confirmed that this is nothing but a nightmare from Maruti Suzuki (Lookwise atleast). I hope it should not replace the existing Alto since doing that with their best selling model could prove to be a serious gamble for Maruti Suzuki.

According to sources close to the development, the company will start commercial production of the car at its Gurgaon facility from July or August and will launch it by Diwali.

I am shocked by those pictures, how come MS think of launching this kind of Mix-masala design? On the other side I have a smile that (MY) old car is way better than this one.

As far as I know, even now Alto 800 is selling in good numbers, I dont think this design can be considered as a replacement for it.

Well ! God forbid the design team of Suzuki! Even a layman would have designed a better model than this. What are they upto? They spoilt the cult image associated with the name 'Zen' by launching Zen Estilo and now this one! Give it a break! As people have indicated earlier, present Alto nd K10 looks way better than this ugly frog!

Honestly, this is the worst design I have seen from MSIL! I thought A-Star was the worst they could make! What is wrong with this people!!

Well, the first thing that came to my mind looking at these pics is that Maruti should have left WagonR, Alto and Swift parked close by and we all can see what happened next. .

Well jokes apart, I agree to all those saying this is an ugly design, but don't know why it looks OK to me for some reason I can't justify. Also, one +ve I could notice is the headroom, it's not as cramped as Alto and not as tallboy as a WagonR. Let's see hot market reacts to it.

Any idea on the pricing and variants??

Prices starts from 2.5 Lakhs i guess.

No Vxi kind of version. So, it would be taking Eon and Spark head-on.

Also its engine might refined, totally new. Lets see how it performs.

There's no power steering in any of the versions,the engine is same 800 cc with 47ps and 5 speed gearbox(alto 800 engine).
