Re: New Honda Jazz problems

My personal feel is that Jazz petrol is overpriced. There is no such known problems with the car as it is bit new. Previous gen owners are pretty happy with their Jazz and no major niggles or problems are reported. I hope the new generation also performs the same.

Re: New Honda Jazz problems

It is better to rename the thread as this is misleading. To be honest i opened the thread to see what is the problem with the all new Jazz. If you set apart the price, Jazz is a wonderful product and the previous gen vehicles have reported no major issues.

Sorry if I misnamed the thread. If so felt, administrators kindly rename as necessary

Would you guys say that the HASS is better or worse than the MASS? The issue with my Swift should be easy to fix but I dont think the ASS is really interested. I find their customer focus pretty pathetic at Sai Service

In Chennai, I don't feel any problem with Honda's service. It depends upon the service centres. You can mention your location so that the experts near that location can assist you...

Petrol is decently priced, while Diesel is overpriced. Jazz is very good packaged car. You'll not face the niggles unlike the City. I have i20, and i simply admire the Jazz. Apart from i20's Good Looks, Interiors, Diesel Engine, i like Jazz more.

Jazz exits the top ten sales chart for August.

Yes, Jazz isn't there in the list but its selling well and will make it into Top 10 when Honda expands the production capacity at its Rajasthan plant sometime next year.

Re: New Honda Jazz,Any known issues?

Sorry If it's a dumb question. But it seems Jazz's bonnet area is smaller than any hatchback in the segment. That might be one of the reasons how they managed so much space inside of Jazz.

My question is, since Jazz's bonnet area is so small than other hatchbacks, will it have more chance of danger to its driver and co-passenger if it has collision on the front side of the car?
Nope, smaller bonnet area doesn't mean less safety, it's designed that way, moreover the level of impact is what matters when an accident occurs.

Another thing is you cannot measure the level of impact in any cars.

Test drove the Jazz (for the 2nd time) today & i had the more experienced hands of my driver with me as well. We both become of the same opinion - the Jazz didnt feel as connected to the road as the Swift but seemed more floaty. Not sure if i can chuck it around like the Swift. In fact we test drove the Polo also and i was less than impressed with its juddery 3 cylinder engine though its a nice car otherwise

Then we TDed the Amaze and it is some car. Pity though getting in & out isint easy, especially for pensioners. If my Swift niggles dont resolve, i may actually go the Amaze way. (This may be the right time ti point me towards any issues with the Amaze)

Ameyam,

Problems with Amaze I have heard off online, Hydro issue with Water entering the engine if driven through flooded roads, Diesel brake pads wearing off since they were not designed for such a high torque engine.

Other than that both Petrol and Diesel are peppy fuel efficient.

Personal experiences based out - Brio AT in mothers name used regularly and BIL having an Amaze Petrol.

I was on the lookout for a good automatic hatchback and finally was trying to sort out between 3 latest and upcoming launches
1. Honda jazz CVT
2. Ford figo DCT
3. Suzuki baleno CVT

Since the car is for my dad, performance is out of window. Since all automatics come with good safety options, it's time now to go for sort it out. I want to know real world fuel efficiency figures of jazz cvt and since baleno with cruise control seems better than jazz with cvt. What's your opinion?

I would say opt for Jazz CVT because 1.5 Ivtec is a frugal and proven mill of Honda with no niggles. About Ford Figo DCT, in terms of performance, this car is stiff competition to Polo. A pocket rocket I would say. On safety front, Figo hatch has no comparison in the segment. Coming to Baleno, I would stay mum on this since its a Maruti and till the very last moment it remains a mystery as to what shall Maruti offer in real!

Will wait till Oct 24 for baleno launch and probably book figo dct. Because my dad drives alone 95% of times. So big car is not much required. It's only the cruise control which took me to include baleno into the picture. Is there any other automatic launches anytime soon other than kwid?
