Since i had already decided that my first car would be a white one, so I got the taffeta white Brio SMT model !
Cool.
Brio looks nice in white too.. I have seen one in flesh in my neighborhood.

Please keep updating your experience, and FE stats.

Maybe John could shed some light on the FE topic .. hez goin' past 13 in d city which is terrific. Depends a lot on how you drive, is it?? (sorry for the stupid Qs).

This is just an observation, but when my wife drives the car, the FE shows 9.9 - 10.2. When I drive, it goes past 11. Ahem Ahem .. just plain observation [glasses]

During the first service, the Honda rep was behind me to get an anti-rust coating done which was costing INR 4.2k (incl taxes). Seemed a bit too much ..and I politely declined. Might get it done later from a local car service centre tho where the mechanic (a trusted one) quoted 2k. [:D]
for anti-rust coating I would suggest you to go at 3m in powai, andheri, borivilli whichever is close to you they will charge you less and give warranty. Of 3-5 years.

HI Santoclauz,
The FE which you are getting seems to be bit low ..
Initially when my car was in showroom, i pressed the FE metre and it showed 3 [:D]
But after it came out of showroom and after the initial ride that weekend to highways, it rose to 13 slowly. I kept a close watch on it (most of my initial drives during the first 500kms was in highways) and it rose slowly to 15.
Now i drive in city most of the times (50kms every alternate day or once in 3 days to office and back) and the FE varies between 15.2 to somewhere around 15.8, with AC ON most of the times (blower speed 2).
Yesterday before parking i checked it showed 15.5.
What I suggest you is to take the car to highway during the initial kms (keep a constant speed of 50-60) and observe the mileage, rather than sticking to city. Its not a good idea to drive a new car in city atleast for the first 500kms (thats what I heard )

And forgot to mention, i don't rev the car too much and always stick to a max speed of 50-60 kmph (which is recommended during the break-in period of first 1000kms) and normally stick to the conventional gear ratio (0-10 1st gear , 10-20 - 2nd gear, 20-30 3rd gear, 30-50 -4th gear , then 5th gear).
Normally i have heard from many people, how we treat our car during the first 1000kms, the car will treat you back for the rest of its life [:)]

Point Noted [clap]

I suppose when you become a part of the Honda family, you stop looking at the FE meter. But then again, we are Indians [;)] Had it been a Maruti, a Hyundai or a Chevy, FE of 11 wud have driven me mad. But then with the finesse of the BRIO and the fact that it really loves you back with all its royal features, i guess I'll wait for the FE meter to crawl above 14.

I guess the gear ratio you mentioned is the same as recommended for bikes during the initial 1k kms. And rightly so. Helps maintain the engine.

Being in a city like Mumbai, it aint possible to have a highway run for majority of the time. I still prefer my bike for long distances.

Y'day the car registered 375kms. FE shows 11.7

Will keep you posted. There is a dearth of forums for BRIO, so pls keep this one going with suggestions and queries. It's good to have a dearth in a way .. shows we drive an exclusive car [glasses]

Many congrats for owning such a great hatch buddy. The 'H' badge sure instills trouble-free ownership. Nice and crisp review with great pics. Try a rear 3 quarter pic, Brio really appears nice in that.

freakdude.
Hey freakdude,
Sorry about the delay, but here are the rear & rear three quat pics.
