Hi Doc,

Firstly let me congratulate you on your new ride. Brio in my opinion is the most VFM & logical hatch & I am sure you will have many happy miles to share. The UT colour is very cool.
Just a question, what extra features did you get in the EXMT variant. When I got my car, only EMT, S & S(O)MT and VMT were available. Now they have added a couple of more variants along with the AT versions.

Also in the meanwhile please feel free to ask any thing about the machine as we have tons of Brio owners on TAI. Do keep sharing your thoughts & experiences.

Congrats once again !!
Hi Sudeep,

Need I say how proud how i feel having recently owned (1 month) the black Honda Brio SMT [:)] On top of it, i bump into this thread and read thru so many chats of all proud owners [:)]

I am very keen to get accessories fitted and any pointers of shops in Bangalore (South Bangalore will be best [:)]) would be helpful.

Thanks,
Sajal Jaiswal

Hi Sajal,

Welcome to TAI.

Glad to have another Brio owner on board. When I started this thread, there were just one or two Brio's on the forum. Our fellow member Jazzy was the first to get a Brio in TAI, and since then there has been no looking back. Now, I think it would be a very difficult task to even get a count of the Total nos of BRIO in TAI, so no doubt, you are in the right place.[;)] .

Unfortunately, I haven't got any accessories in Bangalore. I picked my car in Gurgaon and then got it transported to Bangalore after 3 months. I picked up everything I needed there itself, but I am sure fellow Bangaloreans would help you out.

If I need any accessory in Bangalore, I would shut my eyes and head out to JC Road.

Congrats on your new ride & wishing you many happy miles.[:)]

Thanks Sudeep! Appreciate the quick revert [:)] I sort of felt lazy goin to JC road but will surely head out there for getting the best deals!

Will await to see if my fellow Bangaloreans know of any other store in this part of the city (South Bangalore).

Thanks,
Sajal

Hi TAI friends.

I am new to this forum. let me introduce myself first. I am Raghav from Bangalore. Very new to 4 wheeler driving. I was deciding on my 1st car and this thread helped me a lottt.

Initially i was thinking to go for 2nd hand car becoz as mentioned earlier i am new to car driving and the horrible traffic conditions in Bangalore. But wife wanted to go for the new one ( so no option left [;)] ). After researches and TDing few cars with my cousin (Swift, Ritz, i10, Figo) Finally decided and booked Honda Brio SMT Electric Adjust (Blue). Thanks to all TAI Honda Brio lovers.

After all the negotiations, i got the following deal:

Onroad price 555,770
Cash discount 30,770
Final price 525,000

Freebies:

Insurance
Reverse Parking Sensor
Seat Covers
Car Cover
Bumper Protector
Side Door Protector
Rubber Mats
Mud Flaps
Teflon Coat

Not very sure whether this is a good deal or not. But negotiated with all the dealers back to back to get this.

Please suggest me any must accessories or services that I should opt for.

Thanks All
wish you happy and prosperous new year in advance [:)]

In my case decision to buy brio was instantaneous -just saw my old friend's blue brio@reunion party on 26th-fell for it then and there[:D]
TDed on 27th&booked next day..everything so fast..I just could not wait any longer..all the TAI forum readings were on 27th & 28th..[:D]

Guys,
Can we fit the side door protectors from outside ?
Honda showroom charges too much for accessories. I feel these kinda accessories can better be fitted from outside ?
Anybody know place in bangalore where to get this ?

ty for the warm welcome :)

while booking, i was able to get insurance free (scheme valid till july end) plus a cash discount of Rs 10k+ gear lock, floor mats, one teflon coating and anti rust free. I do not know if they offer it to everyone but I am happy coz i have not read anywhere honda giving cash discounts :p

i paid for the accessories today and the bill came to Rs 23,647, did a bit of haggling and paid 21k.

the accessories i chose
FR corner protector 2118
RR corner protector 2023
RR panel linning 700
Fog lights 11651
rubber mats 1000 (thou price list shows 1550)
seat cover MG 6155

Fog lights were high on my priority list and I was ready to ignore a few thousands here n there.

I missed the side protector and will get it added when i go for delivery. I feel they are highly overpriced at Rs 5055. Also I wanted to keep the bill below 20k as i was told that if bill exceeds 20k i wud need to pay 2% extra while using CC. I did overshoot the bill by 1k but a request to the manager did the trick.

Further, they were quick to point out that if i install any electrical equipment from outside i will lose my warranty. also i checked with them regarding autocop etc and they told me they are of no use since the car is already fitted with central locking and immobilizer. My concern was that i stay on 3rd floor and in the morning i need to open my car for cleaning. they told me i would not face any issue and the car wud open easily from my 3rd floor balcony.Seems i will save 3k odd by not installing autocop now.
I feel prices are too high that to for Delhi customer , Honda in Goa has given me following price list for the same accessories

FR corner protector 2118 - 799 ( diff 1319)
RR corner protector 2023 -- 702 (diff 1321)
RR panel linning 700-- 498 (diff 202)

other prices are same , i have a pdf price list of theirs .
