I have exhausted the 2 free services (2nd one in Nov'12). Now the car has clocked just 3,000 kms and the next service wud b due once the car clocks 8,000 kms. A few Qs that I wanted to ask were;

a) Is there a Honda Care Maintenance Package available with the Service Station? I think they charge 10,000/- for the HCMP for 2 years.

b) How much would a paid service cost me and what all is included in it??

c) Should the next service be in May'13 (6 months after the 2nd free service) or once the car clocks 5,000kms irrespective of the no. of months it takes?? The running is barely 500kms a month.

It's really awesome to see the Brio family growing ..and a collective hearty congrats to all. Keep Drivin', Keep Smilin'. [:)]
a) the package is only for new customers, u or me do not fit in.
b) no idea
c) they say 6 months irrespective if u have clocked the desired 5k km or not.
If you have clocked 5k before the end of 6 months, then time does not matter and u need to visit them asap.

all this is to ensure your warranty stays intact since there are cases where other car dealers have refused to honor warranty even if you were a week late than the due date.

My service manual is showing 10000 kms or 6 months whichever earlier.

Guys ,
I have a doubt. My car has closed 4k and second car service already done a month back.
Now when should I get my car get serviced ?
Is it when I complete 20K km or another six months, i.e. six months from time it was serviced last ?

Always follow the service book's schedule at least till your car is in warranty. If you fail to do so and god forbid a part failure occurs, then the dealership has a valid excuse for not entertaining the warranty.

I guess Brio's service interval is 10K kms or 1yr, so why concerned getting it serviced in six months??

Never knew that, thanks for updating me. Though it's surprising to see a modern car's service interval to be 6 months (10K is fine which justifies Brio being a modern car too).

Before I say anything about my new car...Please let me thank the entire team of "The Automotive India". For the past one month when I was busy looking for my first car
(Hatchback),I would come back and look in what have the reviews been about the car. And truly speaking one can really depend upon this very site for the best possible advises and reviews. Finally on 23 rd after considering Cars from EON, Wagaon -R, i-10, Alto LXI-800, Swift, I finally got Brio EXMT. And to believe what i reviews have said about this car is true" Nice, Powerful, stylish and Good FE....
Cheers....

Congratulations for purchase of Brio. It is a gem little car this. Best car under 6 lakhs. Yes the Car is funky, stylish, it is fun to drive and is terrific handler. With the updated engine FE figures are up. Post more pictures of both exteriors and interiors.

Hi Doc,

Firstly let me congratulate you on your new ride. Brio in my opinion is the most VFM & logical hatch & I am sure you will have many happy miles to share. The UT colour is very cool.
Just a question, what extra features did you get in the EXMT variant. When I got my car, only EMT, S & S(O)MT and VMT were available. Now they have added a couple of more variants along with the AT versions.

Also in the meanwhile please feel free to ask any thing about the machine as we have tons of Brio owners on TAI. Do keep sharing your thoughts & experiences.

Congrats once again !!
