re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 5th Service Update | 40,000 Kms: Ownership Review

Hi All,
I am new to the forum.
I have a New shape Ford Figo 1.5 Petrol Trend. 14000km
I bought it from a dealer two months ago. The 12 month service was not done so Ford has to renew the warrantee.
The reason for my post is, the aircon blower fan is making a noise. I think it may have a plastic wrapper stuck in it.
It is easy to open the blower fan to check? Has any one done this before? Can you send me a link to some photos on how to do this? Any assistace will be appreciated.
Thank you

if your car still has warranty then best is to get it checked from ford service center only. don't get it checked outside.

So in effect around 35,000 Rs more on road price
But all brands have increased price it seems, except Maruti SWift, Even Brio had a price hike of upto 14000 Rs

Ford increased the aspire titanium model prices by 50k. Extra 5 k and you get curtain and side airbags.

Difference between Figo titanium and the variant with curtain side airbags is 24k.

Extra 17k and you get the aspire. Weird pricing.

Had a short ride for 5 kms on an Aspire taxi (Uber) last week.
I was sitting on the rear seat and I was surprised with the good NVH of the car, considering it had 77k kms on the odo. He was maintaining speeds of around 80 and the engine note was barely audible. The MID was showing 19.5 km/l as average consumption. I hope my car also will age well like that car [:D]

Drove the car today and the mode button on the steering wheel is gone.

Couldn't find it anywhere in the car. And now it's irritating to drive the car at night because of this. Will have to do something about this. Any ideas ?

Rear power window button gone kaput. It won't close the window. This is the second button which needs replacement. Surely Ford has compromised in quality other than the build.

Got the steering wheel switch and the rear power window button replaced under warranty.
Since I didn't have the mode button with me they were not changing it under warranty. I had earlier complaint on Twitter so got a call from them when I was present at the service center which made things easier.

I bought 3rd year warranty for 7k when I bought the car. Now they want me to pay 14k for 3rd and 4th year warranty since they don't have an option for just the 4th.

Harpreet Ford has shifted into this new spacious service center.

The issue with steering switch has happened to a teambhp member's Aspire too.
You are lucky that you got them replaced under warranty. Rs. 3.5k for that small steering mounted switch! And, is the price of one power window switch is 17k?

Though they advertise that their spare parts are cheap, it looks like it applies only to the regular consumables like filters, brake pads etc.

I too have the 3rd year warranty only. It is disappointing to see that we cannot buy the 4th year warranty as separate.

Didn't know that. Maybe my post helps him too.
Yes 3.5k is expensive for a small switch but you can see that it's an imported item.
Check my 3rd service update. At that time the front power window button was changed and the mrp was 700rs. The 17k figure is I think the code for the service center and not the price.

re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 5th Service Update | 40,000 Kms: Ownership Review

I had reported about noise from the front end (like something is loose in the suspension) in my Figo. Car has completed 25k kms and the noise became very prominent over time.
It was clearly audible when going over uneven roads and small potholes. Last two visits to ASC did not resolve the issue. As I was keeping this issue in "open" status in each of the feedback calls from Ford, the customer care from the service center requested me to bring the car again. Car was attended by a different mechanic this time and he immediately acknowledged the noise. They kept the car for couple of days and kept providing me updates. The car was delivered to me on the third day and I was informed that steering tie rod ends were changed under warranty.
They say the tie rod ends were not showing any issues on visual inspection but were faulty. And they say this is the first time tie rod ends were changed so soon for Figo/Aspire. They say Figo/Aspire suspensions are usually stay untouched for 80-90k kms.
But trust me I do not drive harsh. Not sure what has actually caused this.

Car was washed and interiors were cleaned too free of cost.
I am a happy customer again and the car is back to its glory !
Service centre: Kairali Ford, Trivandrum
