well i think bajaj should now think about making new design bike instead of sticking only to pulsar.since 2000 or 2001(i dont know exactly)they are making the same brand with some modifications in design and engine cc.[frustration].its just like chewing the same chewing gum throughout all these years.well i dont want to hurt feelings of pulsar owners and i am sorry for saying all these things.actually am also a pulsar owner. mine is 150 2003 model but now getting bore seeing the same pulsar models.i dont say that bajaj should completely stop pulsar's production but they should focus on new design bikes and ofcourse with a new name.and in my opinion pulsar 200 ns is having a toy look.

Bajaj Auto will not stop the production of the P220,P150 and P180.As the P220 sales are good ,Bajaj does not want to stop its production for next two year. The P200 NS price will be higher than the P220 in order to differentiate between the two models.By next year P350 will be showcased by the Pune based company.

Looks like this was the test mule.

But the one in Yellow just looks smashing.

My cousin had to say the On road price is said to be 96,500 in Bangalore , a rough estimate from the dealer.

And hitting the showroom for TD on 15th June.

I prefer the black Yellow combination, instead of full red as posted before.

More from TOI:
  1. Packed with power and designed to make heads turn, the streetfighter motorcycle is certainly going to give its rivals a hard time not just with regard to performance but with such an incredibly alluring price tag, even in the race for numbers the new Pulsar is all set to lead the way. Priced right besides Bajaj Auto's existing flagship the Pulsar 220F DTSi, the new Pulsar has a strong case to divert potential customers from a higher segment as well as give an option for the lower spectrum of the performance brigade to promote and upgrade to a premium product at a not so premium price point.
  2. The Pulsar 200NS is packed with features and is powered by a liquid-cooled single-cylinder 4-valve SOHC 199.5cc engine boasting the world's first triple spark plug technology. The motor pumps out 23.52PS of power at 9,500rpm and 18.3Nm of torque at 8000rpm. Fed by a large 33mm carburettor and employing an all-new 6-speed gearbox, the new Pulsar 200NS is capable of reaching 100km/h from standstill in less than 10 seconds and can reach speeds in excess of 140km/h. This power-packed machine is the first product from Bajaj Auto to boast a twin-spar frame and monoshock suspension at the rear. Weighing 145kg, the Pulsar 200NS has most of its mass concentrated at the centre endowing the bike with superb handling and cornering abilities.
  3. Bajaj Auto had carried out a customer feedback experiment for the past couple of months, wherein it handed a select few bikers as well as commuters test mules of the Pulsar 200NS and took feedback from the users. Based on the feedback, the final production ready machine gets a better headlight, revised suspension settings suited for our roads and few minor changes that improve the overall finish on the motorcycle

Bajaj surely means business with such activities carried on to give the consumer a perfect machine is commendable, and moreover this kind of pricing will give sleepless night's there to Japanese counterpart's.

Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS marks its presence at Delhi showrooms

Riding on the huge success of the previous versions of Bajaj Pulsar, the Bajaj Auto finally made the most awaited bike of the year, Pulsar 200 NS available in Delhi showrooms. Bajaj, keeping in line with its strategy of launching its bikes in phases, first launched the bike in Pune a couple of weeks earlier. Further relying on its formula of phased launch, the manufacturer said that the motorcycle would be available across the country in the coming months.

Earlier, speaking on the launch of the bike in Pune, Mr. Sanjay Saraswat, Vice-President-Marketing, Bajaj Auto had said, “These sporty iconic motorcycles have been a testimony to the company’s engineering prowess. The Pulsar 200 NS showcases next leap in technology and design and will set the standard for others to follow. We are launching the first Pulsar 200 NS in Maharashtra as we feel that the state has played a major role in Pulsar completing the ‘Decade of Dominance’ with 10 years of leadership in the Indian performance motorcycle market. It will then be progressively launched in the rest of the country."

Pulsar 200 NS in Delhi is priced at Rs. 85,000 (ex-showroom) while its on-road price will be Rs. 94,300. The bookings for the bike have started at Bajaj showrooms and deliveries are due to begin soon. Of all the bikes manufactured by Bajaj so far, Pulsar 200 NS is the most technologically sound bike and the company consider this as the major selling point.

The major technological bits of the bike of which the company boasts of are, liquid cooling, a four valve head, triple spark plugs, a six speed gearbox and monoshock suspension layout. It is powered by a liquid-cooled single cylinder 4-valve SOHC 199.5cc engine. It delivers a peak power of 23.2 bhp at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm. Much to everyone’s surprise, the Pulsar 200NS has its bottom end like KTM Duke 200, a bike that was launched by KTM in early 2012.

Bajaj holds 40 per cent stake in KTM, the Australian motorcycle maker, and the Duke 200 is also manufactured by Bajaj. The future Bajaj bikes are expected to use more technology derived from KTM’s sportsbikes. Duke 125 and 200 are also manufactured by Bajaj and exported to countries across the world. Since the labour cost in India is still very cheap, it becomes very economical for KTM to get its bikes built in India.

The technology that Pulsar 200 NS offers at such a nominal price is something for which the company deserves praise. One can expect the Pulsar 200 NS to be a huge success and rule the two wheeler market.
